This ain't a dumb thread...but it was a stupid thing to discuss...Slavery & Holocaust were 2 dreadful things...like Troop said why compare em?...that's like sayin whats worse killin ya mother or father???...shit can't be compared there were lives involved shit like that shouldn't happen i had family who died in concentration camps so obviously Holocaust is more fresh in the minds of people but Slavery...damn thats another thing that'll go on in peoples minds...If this was brought up by the teacher...then dayum wtf are they discussing something like that for...historically yes comparison...no...2 wrongs aren't good at all so why say

"oh that was bad but um it's not as bad as that because..."

I agree with M-Dog, you can't compare these. But, If I had to, I'd go with slavery, since it lasted longer.

No point in choosing one of them, both were sort of similar and yet so different but no one can deny the horrifying mistreatment that happened in time of slavery and the holocaust. Personally I have a better view on the holocaust so I know more facts about that than about the slavery but how can you even say one of them is worse. Both indicate a complete lack of respect towards human beings...

and clown, i actually dont have an opinion as to which was worse, people were on a linear conversation and i just wanted to hear different points of view. everyones reason for which was worse was either time or amount of deaths, i was wondering what you thought from a personal view as if you were going through it.

p.s. we will never know what happened during slavery to the extent of what we know happened during the holocaust, the holocaust had survivors that could read, write and had people that WANTED to hear their story and could get it out to the masses. Slaves werent taught to read and write, and ALMOST all of the white people could care less what the slaves went through

exactly...the quesiton in this thread is not asking which was more demoralized or whatever...its asking which one had more deaths... and slavery had more deaths...

Actually, the thread IS asking which was more demoralizing and which would be worse to live through. China has the most people but it doesnt make it the most powerfull country in the nations. Numbers dont mean a whole lot, i wanna know what you guys think was more demorilizing.

P.S. With slavery i dont just mean until the Emancipation Proclimation was signed, im talkin about all of the deaths at race riots, all the people killed by the KKK and other white power terrorist groups and all of the lynchings that have gone on way past the day the slaves were "freed".

Them Nazis just ran in them niggas' houses, trashed they shit...burned they towns, then took them to a fucking camp, just to kill them. All out of hatred, wasn't nothing in it for them or nothing, they just didn't like them at all. Burning up the Jew towns and shit...killing all the little children like it was nothing. Had ppl hiding up in attics. They killed more than half the goddamn population!!!

Now Slavery...white men went to Africa, and BOUGHT, the slaves to go WORK for them. Not kill them, WORK for them. The didn't just spend their money on them to fucking fry them. They figured that they needed them (which is gay). And most of the slaves were criminals from Africa, they weren't just taking ppl out they house and saying, ''Your being sold." Most of them had criminal records and the King(I guess that's what the leader was) just wanted them out, so he sold them.
