I didn't know I couldn't "join in on this"...I answered your question...But, you and a couple others were so busy arguing over bull shit, you missed two correct explanations--i.e., Apexx's and mine.

ok.... ima make a 3/4 beat, and rap over it..... and how would it be OFFbeat Apexx?? that makes no sense either.... did u walk past a music theory class one day and think u know everythin?

SerB 04-17-06 09:09 PM

A bar is 2-3 snares counts on the beat.

*yawn* nope, I actually studied music, majored in music, make music, produced music and answered this question probably no less than 50 times in the last few years. I can link you to a post on another board that already answers this if you for what ever reason think I'm making this all up or guessing.

a beat at 3/4ths = not a "beat", since "beats" are 4/4ths..like every single song you've ever heard is. Music programs don't even hold a 3/4ths looping format, so......GL with that lmao. But call my bluff, make a beat in 3/4ths and rhyme over it and see how "off beat" the entire track sounds since it's not a "beat". Upload it on SC, get people to rate it, see how great it sounds. Get some RV producers to give you some feedback on it lmao. You'll be a pro at wiring over a beat nobody likes, would use, or will ever hear again. congrats.

but you're right...what do I know.

so once again, tell me exactly what your point of argument is, are you still crying over how I spelled Stacato or are you crying because we discussed and answered what a "bar" is already and you're just blabbering on about something completely irrelevant?

TeamOne 04-17-06 09:42 PM

he asked wat a bar was, and u sed it was a measure...... he didnt fuckin say it had to do with "beats" (meanin instrumentals) necesarily...... and 3/4 is a certain time signature for BARS or MEASURES, so it would be 3 BEATS.......... and yea, btw, they do allow 3/4 looping cuz ive done one before... even fuckin FL can do it...... lmao........

and ur still spellin staccato wrong, just to let u know.......

and every song ive heard has not been 4/4 lmfao........actually, all the music I PLAY isnt even 4/4.......

so if ur keepin score, ive already called ur bluff on findin a beat program that allows 3/4...........

and ur still spellin staccato wrong, just to let u know....... <--cuz I still don't give a flying fuck lmao. You keep forgetting that. You know what I'm talkin about, so who cares how I spell it?

and every song ive heard has not been 4/4 lmfao........actually, all the music I PLAY isnt even 4/4.......

^^name some songs that are in 3/4ths

Anybody hear a beat in 3/4ths with lyrics over it that's uploaded and getting feedback from producers?

cuz i don't.
