I know what it's liek to move form the hood to the burbs, I live next to one of the most racist towns in my state, where the confederate flag used to wave proudly. nah nobody's braggin. you'd be a damn fool to be bragging about hood life, the shit we had to do in the hood to survive was straight up embarassing. shit goes wrong when people make their survival in that environment into the only reason they live. I feel that, and I don't disagree with you, the whole image of "ghetto" has been stereotyped in somewhat of a way by hiphop imo, but it's still obviously a worse environment to live in then the burbs. And as you stated, every tragedy you find in the burbs, exists in the hoods. But by stating that you also acknowledged that you can find tragedies in the burbs. I'm not trying to say the burbs is worse then the ghetto and everyone there is living a hard life. But I am saying that there are some people in the burbs who's lives are as rough as others living in the ghetto.

Okay I'm from the hood, but an existance of a greater pain shouldn't destroy the importane of someone's misery. I mean of course there's someone out there goign through more pain than me, but if I'm pissed off or sad I'm not gonna give a fuck. I mean a suburban kid shouldn't have to say "sure my parents are getting a divorce, my best friend died, i got molested, I'm failing in school, I'll never be able to walk again, I'm a drug attict, and I get jumped everyday, but at least I have food on my table and a roof over my head. :thumbup:" It just seems rediculous to me.

i used too live in the ghetto or whatever when i was younger....but my family decided too stop being lazy and got off there asses got jobs and now were a lil bit below avg. I personally dont see what the big thing about being from the hood or the burbs is your forgettin about the middle or a lil below the middle man....... :mad:

Well, what if they didn't have food on their table, or a roof over their head? YOU have food on your table, and a roof over your head. I know kids who are white, who live in the suburbs, and they're kicked out of their home, and if they try and come back their parents will call the cops on them. They're stuck on the streets, homeless. What's worse is, they can't go home, but they can't be on the streets either because their drug boss is looking for the money he's been owed for weeks, and if he or any of his boys catch these kids, without the money, then they're going to break every bone in their bodies. To add to that, the cops are looking for them too, because they have a warrant on them for breaking an entering. Why? Well, if you're on the street with cops and drug bosses looking for you, you can't sleep, you need to always be on the move, and to not sleep for weeks straight requires drugs like ecstasy or speed to keep you up for the night. But you have to pay for drugs right? Where does that money come from? Ah yes, the houses that were broken into and robbed ofcourse.
