iunno man, all I know is on your request i clicked to join your gang. lol and it said some shit like "Welcome home" or some shit

after you accept invite

you gotta make your dude and shit, do first job or whatever.. basically like a mini tutorial of sorts and then accept his invite after that.. it will show up on the screen somewhere.. that is how i did it anyway.
