This is a typical thread and all, that is mostly played out enough as it is. But you truly can't say Pac isn't one of the top 3 ever to touch a microphone. The guy may have came with simplistic lyrics and speech but what he spoke was true in his world and most. He didnt rap about being a gangster and then wore guppy clothes and lived outside the hood. 2Pac rhymed about gangster shit because he was one and showed he was one. He was the real deal. We got all these lil niggas rappin now a days named eminem and nas and 50 cent. Fuck all of them. They are all 'wankstas'. Think about it. 50 and eminem and nas all think theyre hard, but most of them sleep in fear because they fear death itself. Pac looked at death and pissed death off even more. He was not afraid to speak his mind lyrically or publicly. While all these other junk rappers are going down hill. I mean even Snoop is a narc. The Rap world is going down hill and Dre is trying to do everything to save it by bringing up lame ass lyricist like 50. Eminem is a joke and was a gimmick from the start to draw a white crowd. The game is almost over with. It is dieing out no matter how many of us feel it isnt. 2Pac was real and he made RAP what it is today a long with NWA and Christopher Wallace. anyone bashing on tupac for one STFU pac delivery is better than 90 percent of rapper I've ever heard and I listen to everything from commerical rap to back packer rap. Second is emotion is UNMATCHED in rap though he may not have been the best lyricist of all time just off his delivery and emotion made him better than alot of rappers. It wasn't like his lyrics were garbage ether you ever listen to him like really listened to him you would know what I'm talking about. Stop listening to his commerical singles and cop one his albums and give it a good listen you would see what I'm talking about.

I do agree those cats you listed there have lyrical skill but it's not all about that look at Chino XL for example he has dope dope lines terrible ass flow. It gets so bad on I told you so I fast foward alot of his verses I just can't bear to listen. Look in rap history too tupac ended chino's fucking career (on a mainstream tip that is).

I have copped pacs albums. I got 2pacalypse Now, All Eyes On Me, and Thug Life. I listen to like 1 song on each. I don't hate pac, but he isn't as great as he's cooked up to be. I mean yea he's iite, but he isn't even remotely close to being the greatest.
He never will be, no one would even care if he was still alive.

I could put money on it, if Pac was alive now you all would treat him like Jay Z... Say he's washed up, he sucks, and yea you know this.

Nobody thought pac or biggie were either the greatest, untill they died. The were just another rapper that people liked, never the fucking greatest.
