where does it say that? Eve is a mortal human being, and as a matter of fact, one of the first mortal human beings supposedly. Therefore it would be IMPOSSIBLE for her to have "100's" of children. For others reading this, I'm also still looking to see where it said God destroyed the world and where god suppsedly said "I regret making humanity" as have been suggested. |

This is actually one of the issues I have with the bible, reconciling the creation account to what really happened. Some people have speculated that "Adam" and "Eve" represented a nation of people, not just two. Here's the problem with thinking Adam and Eve were one man and one woman. They had two kids at first, Cain and Abel. THat means, there were literally just FOUR PEOPLE on earth at the time. However, after Cain killed Abel, God banished him out of his home land. Cain then said, "God, what if someone tries to kill me." Then, God replied, "I'll put a mark on your head and you will be safe." <--I'm paraphrasing. If there were only 3 people on earth at the time, what in the WORLD was Cain talking about? I actually support the Adam/Eve nation theory. However, it also would have been possible for eve to have 100s of kids. People in those days lived hundreds of years. Remeber, the oldest living person in the bible lived to be over 900 years old, Methuselah. P.S. The account of God's flooding of the earth is in Genesis, as well as the statement, "It repented him that he made man." God felt sorry that so much wickedness had overrun the earth. So, he put an end to it. |

It's just a theory, which means it proves nada. If the bible adressed nations as the source of humanity, it would have said nations. not two individual people. This fits into the schools of thought that "interpret the bible to mean sometihng much different than what it clearly states". Quote:
Adam and Eve died early and are not methusela. They were supposed to live forever up till they ate the fruit of the tree, which is SUPPOSEDLY why women menstruate which also is BS, since "jesus died for your sins" which means the slate should have been wiped clean, yet women today still mensturate and bleed. Once again, there is zero evidence of this flood since other civilaztions that existed around this time have obviosuly survuved since their history is still shown and make no mention of a flood at all. There are countless billions of artifacts that are found that predate this imaginary flood, which according to the bible should have been destroyed in the flood that no one can prove occured. Floods leave high water marks. This "great flood" left none. Floods cause land masses to rise. This flood caused none. Furthermore, no possible way that moses and his 3 sons, plus all 4 of their wives repopulated the earth. The variety of people and cultures alone shows that this is nonsense. Not to mention the fact that all this EXTRA water that flooded the entire planet came from where exactly? Floods are bodies of water that move from one location to another, and the earth only has but so much water on it. Where'd the extra trillions upon trilions of gallons needed to flood the entire planet come from? and where did it all go? If it evaporated, that means it went into the atmosphere and would have fallen back down as rain, which means the continents of earth would ALWAYS be submersed in this flood, which we obviously know they aren't. |

Moses wasn't alive during the flood...Noah was The bible doesn't state that, "ALL LIFE DIED OUT". The bible states that God flooded the earth 40 days and 40 nights. Some people like to try to discredit the bible by talking about Sumerian tablets which also talk about a "great flood" before Moses wrote about it. To me, that's simply confirmation. When it started raining, people were still alive on earth. These cultures could have written about what God did. That's not out of the realm of possibility. Also, before it rained on Noah, it had NEVER RAINED BEFORE ON EARTH. That's why people were looking at him strange when he talked about "rain." God watered the land with dew. Before then, there was no precipitation. Biblical scholars corroborate this through the creation account and the incidents surrounding Noah and the ark. God flooded the earth. It's clearly stated. Don't say it's not written in the bible. If you don't believe it happened, fine. But, don't dare say the account isn't given in the text because it is. |

The Flood was 'God-Willed' God created the Earth he doesn't have to stick to the 'laws of nature' , if he wanted to add "trillions of gallons" of water to the earth he would do so, and then if he wanted he would take it back he would do that too... |

Noah, my bad. I switched the names up for a second. But think about wht you're saying man, no rain??? That would mean that every tre and shrub would have been DEAD because not one drop of water would have made it to their roots where they absorb water. Plant life dosen't get water through it's foliage, so what your'e saying (that dew would moisten the earth enough) would be..mmm..unpossible. Crops wouldn't grow and famine would be global. No other culture that's been around and existed during the time all this was supposedly going on in the bible reports not having rain (quite the opposite) and not a single one of them mentions or was affected by any "great flood". Only this bubble of existance shown in the bible. Quote:
bro, you make it sound like god is your favorite comic book character. I live in the real world, where this system exists that EVERYTHING runs on. It's called physics. You gotta come with some information man, not that "oh, God can do anything" routine, because once you believe that, you'll believe anything. |
