why is it that everybody here hates on G Unit so fuckin much???? i think its just like a net trend or somethin and people are scared to stand up for them, cuz nobody can give me one good reason why they are "too commercial" or "sellouts" or whatever yall say.. g unit puttin out some real hip hop right now..

D12 and G-unit ARE too commercial, and thats why they weren't in my lists, heck d12 as a BAND are very weak! i know that if eminem wasn't in the band they'd still be in detroit, even though i still think bizarre kid is the true talent (in THAT band)!
i like his flow it might not ALWAYS be on beat but he has an ODB kinda style

Fuck, i've hated g-unit since they first came out waaay before I even came on here. I've been listening to rap n hip hop since like 86-87, i've seen a lot of groups come and go. G-unit aint got shit on groups from back in the day, sure they probibly make more money for sure but that dont mean shit. You want to hear real hip hop, check out some old Gang Starr, BDP, Public Enemy, Epmd, Run DMC, even the Beastie Boys. They made real hip hop, made hip hop that stood for something and had real meaning, and wasnt all about the same shit like a lot of these cats today.

I think you are confusing success with skill. Just because they are probibly the most successful groups to come out in a while doesnt mean they stand for anything or have any skill. Look at Immortal Technique, he is probibly one of the most intellegent rappers i have ever heard, his music has meaning and a lot of heart goes into it yet he isnt that popular in comparison to 50 or whoever. I know this is talking about best group, that is just an example of how being skilled doesnt mean you will be that popular or sussessful.

iight D-Block is the hottest group out right now. Jadakiss is the hottest rapper out right now period. and you can't put just 5 rap groups up because there are 2 many great ones. Bone Thugs was Hot NWA was hot all of the groups have had there time sadly they came to an end and now we have to suffer and listen to g unit talk bout the same shit over and over. but Game is hot. I can't wait on his cd to drop the rest of 'em are ok but the rap bout da same shit on every track. all about money and guns. and for 50 its bout getting shot, money, and guns. 50 did have some hot underground tracks but then he went commercial. i just hope da same don't happen to game

to answer the why I hate on G-unit,
i hate 50cents from way back his best tune ever still is "how to rob" but i dont like his flow, i dont like how he came into the game again with dre like he's a new artist, the guy was wack when biggie was alive and he's still wack now.
and g-unit are not even on the same lyrical page as groups like wu-tang, and wu-tang are a group and that is why they were in the guiness book of world records as the only group where all members have a solo contract.
can we keep to the topisc in here as well i dont CARE who is best in G-unit or D-block, even though ii do like D-block.
