Why is it so far fetched?...the gov might not have made it, and they might have...but to completely disreguard the fact that they might have is ignorant, you never know if they did or not, its the perfect plan when you think about it, the population is rising like crazy, besides war, what else can they do to control it, napolean did it through wars and nobody knew that was his intention until later in time, it could go either way, but you cant say someone is idiotic for believing that, its a matter of opinion.

well, i understand what you were getting at with the Darwin thing but he only addresses all LIVING things... viruses are NOT living. Although they show some characteristics of living organisms, scientists have classified them as non living... The thing is, they are made up of DNA wrapped in a protein coating, which are both VERY BOILOGICAL and i think organic materials. We may be wrong about viruses, maybe they are living, but i dont think that they evolve and maintain homeostasis and all that like darwin says...

no...virus's are living, like I said, otherwise they wouldnt do anything, dead things dont move, but virus's move.

lmao, are you serious?
that concept of living things is so elementary

and wow, ur post that i quoted about that dissapeared

but anyways, viruses cannot reproduce without a host cell, and are therefore not living organisms....

vi·rus
n. pl. vi·rus·es

Any of various simple submicroscopic parasites of plants, animals, and bacteria that often cause disease and that consist essentially of a core of RNA or DNA surrounded by a protein coat. Unable to replicate without a host cell, viruses are typically not considered living organisms.
A disease caused by a virus.
Something that poisons one's soul or mind: the pernicious virus of racism.

want another source? look anywhere dawg....
viruses are NOT living, ur wrong

No no no, not for population control, people keep sayin that
I was thinkin more of biological warfare.
it was maybe created to slow down ecomony.
Maybe AIDS is just a prototype and they are developing somethin stronger than AIDS that kills you quicker think about it.

Country A is at war with country b
country A capture a few prisoners, and let them go back to their country
BLAOW
It starts to spread like crazy.

exactly.... people are throwin scientific shit that they have no idea about around wayyy too much in this thread

Darwin does not apply to viruses whatsoever

Question: Are viruses living?
Kim Michalek

Answer: There is a tremendous debate about this question - scientists do not agree
on the answer. Some people consider them to be just a bunch of chemicals. Other
people consider them to be living parasites, because they require the metabolic
machinery of host cells to survive. But they do reproduce, and they do have genetic
material, so many people consider them to be the simplest living organisms. Probably
the safest answer is that viruses have both living and nonliving characteristics.

Viruses are parasites, and they will mutate to continue "living" on their host. The difference between AIDs and other viruses is that AIDs mutates way faster then anything else. There's no cure because it keeps changing to continue "living" on its host.

That's a touchy subject. Some consider them alive, some don't. They DO manipulate though Mr. Same Biology as Me.

you are a dumb ass mother fucker... did you ever take BIOLOGY??
there are 5 things that define a living organism...

1) it must be made up of one or more cells... VIRUSES ARENT MADE UP OF CELLS... LIKE I SAID B4, THEY ARE DNA IN A PROTEIN COAT...

2) They must be able to reproduce... VIRUSES DONT REPRODUCE, THEY LOCK ON TO A HOST AND CORRUPT THE CELL'S DNA, IN TURN CORRUPTING OTHER CELL'S DNA AND CAUSING DAMAGE

3) They must maintain homeostasis... THIS MEANS THEY MUST MAKE CHANGES TO THEMSELVES IN ORDER TO SURVIVE... THEY DONT.. PERIOD

I cant remember the other two right off hand but living organisms must follow ALL FIVE.... and if it fails the first THREE, then it cannot possible pass ALL FIVE.....
and dumbass... DO PLANTS MOVE? i didnt think so, but they ARE living...

Blay'all 12-17-05 05:09 PM

since they do NOT reproduce on their own, which is the main reason that they are not considered living organisms, Darwin's laws do not apply to viruses.... the reproducing issue that we're dealing with here with Darwin and survival....

That would be dumb to do. Cuz once there's always a chance that it'll come back to country A.
