ya man i've gained 20 pounds of muscle in 3 weeks. i weigh 150 pounds. thanks to mass xxx. |
yeah, its a good product, lots of protein per serving, dont know how many servings you take per day, but if youre on the 6 intake schedule thats a shitload of protein. Got to make sure you're gaining muscle and not any form of fat.... which would suck.
its all good though, im hammered (not a good idea when training). either way, i'll discuss this tomorrow, not a good idea right now. ps. i fucking hate how people misspell shit when theyre drunk.. its like they do it on purpose to look "more drunk".. its not hard to type when waster. sorry if my post is messed up.. |
rofl you mean wasted dog. not waster. lol
but ya man i take 2 servings a day 1 full cup after i lift then half a scoop in the morning or night. |
weak shit man weak shit
|
Can't comment on Mass XXX since I haven't used it.. but I did use Champion Nutrition's Super Heavyweight Gainer when I was in college.
http://www.champion-nutrition.com/c...ight_gainer.php Got the chocolate flavor. Tasted pretty decent.. Thought it was really, really sweet. Compared to Mass XXX, SHW has 900 calories, 50g protein. Fat is 29g though. But it has a ton more vitamins and minerals and is all natural. Price is about $36 from amazon. |

you looked like you weighed more from your pics |

Lotta calories shit haha. The protein is good, but the fat content per serving is too high for me, might work for people that want to build just to get bit though... a lot of the guys i train with have special blends and stuff mixed up by our trainers that are better than a lot of the gnc stuff, these guys really know what theyre doing. |

some of those pics are old. and some are before i started lifting weights again. but ya. do any of you lift 4 hours or so at the gym? like a full body workout? |
Nope.
I do 2 - 3 hour sessions (Only 2 hours max weighted) And I only do them on one portion of the body at a time.. Legs monday core tuesday upper body wednesday plyometrics thursday speed friday saturday is on ice and a small workout of cardio / speed It is unhealthy for your muscles to work out for 4 hours and have a full body workout. you do more harm than good, as your muscles need time to regenerate and rebuild themselves. doing a full body workout is the worst possible method to working out, as ALL of your muscles will be broken down / tired and will be in need of regeneration. If you work out the next day you wont gain much from it. If you workout 3-4 days later you may be alright but that time off is just wasted, when you could be working on another portion of your body. its best to break down your workout schedule to an area a day so you get ample time to regenerate your muscles. |
how much do you lift?
|
not a whole lot, I don't try to bulk up that much in the off season. I primarily don't do bench press a whole lot.
I do a lot of squats at 3 plates (45 pounds a plate) + 25 a side. I do 5 plates for 1 leg leg presses... Im into a lot more of the plyometric build rather than the muscle bulk. |
Quote:
My squat max was 500.. so 4 plates + a two and a half and 400-450 for reps of 3 powerclean 300 and bench 315.. but i havent lifted in months due to surgery |
Thats more in a building stage rather than what we work on in hockey.....
the NHL combine has 150 benchpress you go as long as you can. im a pretty skinny guy, I weigh like 190 max... with a 3% body fat. Im a goalie, so I mean i dont need huge muscles I need more flexibility and lateral movement. |
Anybody who spends 4 hours in the gym is a fucking loser.
