^the best way to become a well rounded artist is to "sample" different types of music.....if you check out most rappers cd collection you won't find pure hip hop alot of them listen to rock....think of it like this.....number 18 on Devils night was a sample of the wall by pink floyd....thats just a way to expand your mind a little

^ uhhhh listen to almost any rap cd and you will find samples or similar arrangments rock music or classical music and all other types of shit. anybody knows that a successful rapper is open minded towards all sorts of shit (more subject matter) and a producer is open to all sorts of music (better beats).

the stuff that got me into rock was jimi hendrix. him and his band (which happened to be white englishmen) were and are just so ill. they were like the tupac of the 60s, pointin out all sorts of issues backed with the illest playin.

the only good rock i can think of nowadays off the top of my head is red hot chili peppers and maybe 311. they are actually talented. not that loud fuckin cracker yellin about commitin suicide type shit.

chili peppers are hot and coldplay is pretty sick..... and word on ''stacys mom" that video is too funny

This is what actually makes RB such a great site. We have a variety of everything. I love rock, and I love almost evertype of music, but the main music I listen to is rap...well maybe not by your standards, non of the artists I listen to have anything to do with Eminem.

(Well.. maybe there is that whole she's not considered rock deal.. but she's still worth the listen because she has a variety of songs and song styles.
