Hey C, get a presonus pre, and then just change the preinstalled tube with a groove tube and your set. I admit focusrite would be nice, but presonus does the damn thing and very well. They got tons of awards for their preamp and it's not too expensive. 100 bucks and you could get a 2 channel pre...

Dayum nice sound for a Nady, it must be your pre amp adding to the mic. I can not stand Nady for anything live, we practice with nady mics just cuz if you break em who cares, their cheap. Also have you ever thought about switching over to Pro Tools LE, it's dopeness sqaured.
