i dont think ya can tag hip hop wit any colour really, cuz back in those times wen there was no technology, people communicated with rhymes and music and songs, every race did it, everywhere in the world and its been goin on forever. so this is a tough question really...

This is a pretty dope thread... some mod should compile all the useful posts and make it a sticky or something..

But anyway, nos and chase pretty much covered everything. Except bboying was brought in the same time as DJing, and it's because of bboying they eventually decided to use 2 turntables to DJ with. There were sections of a record called "breakbeats" that bboys danced to, and afrika bambaata decided to use 2 turntables to make it easier to increase the length of the breakbeats. This lead to the productions of whole records just of breakbeats for the bboys.

hiphop and rap evolved from blues/jazz...and thats werd...

who created hip hop??? thats easy. let me educate...
