i have been out of the country
ive actually spent a signifigant amount of time in mexico itself...
and i know that there may not be very many things there that they can do to make their living conditions better, but the fact of the matter is is that there are things they can do...
just coming into the states really does not help anybody
rarely, RARELY do you see any immigrant actually succeed here in the states...
most of em will end up working for rich people doing chores and such, or working at resteraunts cooking/serving meals, which all pay minimum wage, or somewhere near...
my point is that coming into the US illeagally really does not help anyone, and it especially doesnt help them...

and our attempt to help them should not be necessary considering they shouldnt be here in the first place...
and the 5mil we use on them could go to things that help our economy, it could go to plenty of things...

My views on the war are different then yours. I think we SHOULD be in Iraq. Therefore, I don't see that as a waste of money. You obviously do. But, THAT ISN'T THE POINT OF THIS THREAD. And, it's not that the United States is only spending 5 million. In Arizona alone there is a deal for 80 million, 5 million for THIS year. Thats over $1,000 for ONE student to learn how to speak English. That is waste of fucking money.

And what the fuck @ not having money to get a passport? So don't come across. It's really not that hard to understand. What seperates being poor in Mexico from being poor in the United States? NOTHING. You're still poor.

What's the difference? If you don't have money to eat, you don't have money to eat. If you don't have a house, you don't have a house.

If you don't have money, you don't have money.. regardless of whether it's pesos or dollars.

It is not the United States problem that Mexico is in a plight of poverty. The people there should try to start a revolution if they're so damn sad about the situation over there. But no, instead of trying to fix the problem, they create them by coming into the United States and demanding that we pay money for them to learn english, but also make us learn spanish because the adults have no way of learning english. When the asians in Ireland start "forcing" you to learn the language from whatever Asian country there from you can start talking to me. Until that time, don't tell me to give them money.
