See a normal earth year is 365 days a year. But as we know every 4th year we have a "leap" year, in which case there are only 364 days in a year. Once many many years ago when 7-11, was first starting out they tried to be open on this leap year, but were then sued for Misleading advertising. You see they were making false claims by saying they are open 365 days a year, when in fact on every 4th year they can actually be only open 364. To avoid this tradegy again they are now closed the last day of every 4th year, hence requiring the locks on the doors.
