^ im sure they could, now a days with technology, i think thats how rap became such a huge hit so quickly, with the increase in developments with computers, rap expanded enormously throughout the world, while bands playing instruments, the new computer programming didn't really benefit them except for sound quality and tours and what not........and yes, jimi made incredible music, so did alot of artists from the 70's 80's, im not much of a fan of the music that is out today, alot of it, like you say, is just screaming nonsense (although some lyrics are good, and guitaring is cool too), i mainly listen to music that came out of the 70's and 80's, and thats what i mean when i say rock'n roll.....not heavy metal....please do not throw them in the same catagory, haha, totally different
