stop hatin Nos, its plays either way

more than most people on this site are doin, dope job SPuL :shoot:

La Cosa Nostra 01-26-06 10:51 AM

No.. It isnt actually...

Signed cats do shows to thousands of people at once and have their songs played on the radio's being heard by 10's of thousands of people daily...

People flicking through soundclick and streaming a song aint gonna do jack shit towards properly promoting your music... The real show there is that 48 people downloaded it, therefore 48 people decided they would actually want to play your song again..

The other one got over 300 plays, and nobody downloaded it at all...

That chart shows that just over 400 people seen the name chris brown and played both songs, but out of those 400 people, only 48 actually wanted to hear the first one again...

Not trynna shit on your sunshine... But its really not doing anything for you.. It aint getting you played on radio stations, it aint getting you any live shows, it aint making you a cent money wise and it aint getting you a record contract...

Get your music out there in real life and build up a local fan base.. See rapping is a profession that only works for people who are so damn cool that thousands of other people are prepared to put them up on a pedistool and become fans... If you aint got what it takes, you aint gonna make it... Soundclick is fantasy land... Its a place where nobody knows you or sees your personality... Its the same place that even complete geeks and nerds can pretend to be rappers and nobody would be the wiser...

The amount of streams isnt a number that you can gain anything off.. Cause any old net surfer will play a stream... But the number of downloads you get, thats what tells you whether your songs any good...........

yea, and what's so bad with 48 people DLing it in one day? It has I don't see what's bad about it. I ain't worrying about getting out there just yet. I'm more worried about finishing school. next yr I can worry about that. But also other song, I didn't allow to be DLed. so that's why it's not DLed. also, read my first post. I didn't say it's the greatest thing. i'm just happy about it.

now I don't see what's wrong about 100+ DL's a night..

distilled 01-27-06 09:45 AM

ROFL @ all your other songs barely gettin any plays

Nynth Degree 01-27-06 10:28 AM

How come none of the songs you did yourself are on the charts?

~Lady Fiya~ 01-27-06 10:31 AM

SPuL be careful with your remixes. Because me and Ike's remix to Laffy Taffy made number 5 on the chart and soundclick deleted it off my page. I put it back on the page and it made 13 that same night and they deleted my whole soundclick. If that happens to you, then it's because you don't have permission to remix Chris Brown's tracks. So be careful.

hmm.... let's see. Only one song can be on the charts for that specific genre. All my songs are on the hip-hop general charts which is where that "Gimme That" song is 21 something. All my other songs go on that genre. And whatever song gets more plays replaces it, and the top song is shown on the charts. Most of my songs usually go to around 1,200 or somewhere around there, which is like 60 plays a night. not bad. And since YO and Gimme that both getting monster plays, I decided to move YO to the R & B section so BOTH could get plays.

so yea, nice try, but no...

and word Fiya, thanks for heads up....... if it gets deleted w/e..... it got it's due.... and if they send me e-mail or w/e saying put it off, i'll do that. it's w/e.....

Nice try at what? All I did was ask a question, and I thought I succeeded in that just fine.

J. Luth 01-27-06 01:20 PM

yea, now go worry about putting up atleast one song, before "Asking" why someone's songs didn't make it in the charts =/
