I'm playing a massive multi-player online game that's hosted on a site so you don't have to download anything, it's an extremely dense strategic battle/build game where players meet to try and take galaxies and create the most powerful empire in the entire universe.

me and 3 other friends all joined around the same time and I made an Empire, in which we're all helping eachother and watching eachother's backs, but we need more players.

Life is confusing. Look at everybody, we're all confused.What do you do with your time? Go to school? Work a part time job? Socialize with friends? You think that's happiness?

You're after happiness aren't you? You just gave off the impression you don't even know what happiness is. Which is understandable, since that's what the majority of people do. They set off on a nice journey searching for happiness, when they have no idea what happiness actually is, and they are never able to define it.

It's like me just deciding one day "Fuck, from this day onward I am going to dedicate my whole life to working towards flannigan. I shall not rest until I have attained flannigan." Of course I'm never going to find flannigan. What is it, anyway? What is happiness? It's just a vague buzzword people like to use to describe that thing they're after that they don't really understand.

So you can keep your impossible goals, thank you very much. I'll stick with chilling out under a tree in the forest.

Well, first of all happiness isn't anything...your right on that. So how do we define the word happiness...other than that of an emtion coming after extreme joy...which i know you will now say what is joy? which we shall try to figure out next time in our debate....

but to focus on "happiness"...you yourself are to pesstamistic, always questioning...which questioning truely is an amazing way to find truth...becuase there is no "truth" out there....everything can always be dis-proven and re-proven again...life in itself is confuzing like you said, but what if its only as confusing as we make it...i have to go...but i would like to contuine this ..i just dont have the time right now

You can call it whatever you want... Joy, happiness, pleasure... It still doesn't change that those are just vague pointing words that are referring to something that cannot be truly described or defined. Happiness could be defined as having all your needs fulfilled, and only experiencing things that you like and not things that you dislike. That isn't a proper description or definition, but it solidifies what to look for.

I figured that out when I was looking for happiness, because my search wasn't going anywhere. I questioned the world and discovered what I was meant to be looking for. How does that make me pessimistic? No way am I going to blindly follow some vague goal I set for myself I don't even know when, and try to succeed at that. Thinking and questioning is the most worthwhile thing I ever do.

You can't get that "happiness." It's impossible. You can get it for tiny periods of time, and then it disappears and you're off on the search again. It's because your situation, your feelings, your desires, your likes and dislikes, all of these things are constantly changing. You try to adapt to something that is constantly changing. It's fucking impossible. That's what I call wasting your life.

The method that I have used to attain happiness is to get rid of my desires and preferences. That was the only way I have found so far. Since when I have no desires, there is nothing that I want, and therefore all my desires are fulfilled and I feel happy/content. With no likes or dislikes, I can't develop desires, and everything that happens to me is just as it is without any preconceptions.

I don't have a worry in the world. I can play whatever games I want. Maybe sometimes I feel like playing the pessimism game... What's it to ya?
