If you haven't noticed, Rapbattles Relaunched has moved off the rapbattles.com domain and onto its own domain - rapverse.com. Be sure that you update your bookmarks as we will be removing the link to Relaunched off the rapbattles.com domain in the next month or two.

With the new domain, comes the much anticipated battle system that has been in development for over a month. No more worrying about people not dropping on time, not checking in, who should post first, or random people spamming or swaying in your battles. This may be one of the most advanced battle systems available on any rap battle site. The new battle system is currently active in Front Lines, Elevated Front Lines, and Audio Battles. Instructions on using the new system are below:

BATTLING

Setting up a battle is now easier than before. In a battle forum, click the New Thread button and you will be taken to the next page to set up your battle, with the house rules already filled in. Change the rules as you see fit, scroll down and paste your opponent's name into the Option 1 box, leaving your name in Option 2. Next determine if you want to leave the default post requirement or increase it for your battle. After that, decide the times you want people to check in and to drop their verse, in minutes. After the battle is setup, all battler interaction will be completed in the first post of the thread (the rules post). You will check in and drop your verse in the form in that post. Posting your verse as normal will not work.

Here are the current situations and what happens with the automated battle closing / disqualifying system:

Either opponent not checking-in in time = Battle Closed
Both opponents check in, but do not post their verses in time = Battle Closed
Both opponents check in, but one misses the deadline = Disqualification

Once you have checked in, you signify that you accept to the rules and the verse due time is set in stone. If you cannot drop your verse in time or disagree with the rules, do not check in by declining the battle or check in later. We will not be manually closing battles using the new system anymore in RB Complaints as everything is automated.

VOTING

When both opponents has dropped their verses, the BATTLE indicator in the thread listing is changed to dark blue from light blue (old battles are light blue too). To vote, read the verses and post your feedback in the field inside the post containing the verse you want to vote for and then click the Vote button. Since the verses are anonymous, you will not be able to tell who the poster is (to prevent D/R) so if you want to mention what the other guy did wrong, you'd have to say "The other guy.......". If you want to leave feedback, click the feedback button instead of the vote button. Your post will be noted on whose verse you had voted / left feedback on.

this is dope!!! but 1 question how do you kno if your voting on a crew members battle"cause thats still not allowed right",n when i battle i use the other dudes name so wont the voters be able ta tell who's battlin that way???

im confuzed on the process of voting,it dosent seem like anythings changed with old battles except the fact i can't cast a vote..lol..i can't see were ta post my vote in the field with da verse!!

will we (original) be getting our own front page? or will the front page be removed fully, and www.rapbattles.com will lead directly to our site?

Quick note.... after you click the button to check in, when you post your verse, you MUST post it in box in the first post (where you had previously checked in). If you use the Quick Reply box at the bottom, other people WILL NOT be able to see your verse. Only you, your opponent, and the people who already voted will be able to see the full thread when the battle is still open.

This was done to reduce swaying and the cluttering up of the thread. Guests and voters will only see the rules, and the 2 verses and nothing else.

To bump your battle, you'll bump it like normal... just post something that'll updated the time on the thread.

We haven't decided on the crew situation or whether to allow PMing for votes again yet.


This was a bug that has been fixed. I have went in and tallied all the votes that were affected. Nothing has been changed in the old battles as the new system has additional data that must be stored, which isn't available with battles already created.


Most likely no... it will be just a link to click to enter your forums until we find the time to build the home page for the front page..... Got to eventually earn back the money we spent acquiring the site

It sounds betta but it was not funny da way it jus didn't come-up (my life flashed rite b4 me) If u guys had told me earlier I coulda cheated in relaunched (oh well)

i was woundering why it said rapverse i thought there was something wrong with my computer......and ill idea....kida of confusing but okay

this eliminates the purpose of personals......how would ppl get them if they dont know whos battling?

sorry ,but this idea is fuckin wack.......for one,if u don't agree with rules...then u just don't check in? u cant say anything in the battlethread or it counts as a check in? cuz then,u just look like u backed down from a battle,just cuz u didnt agree with the rules....

secondly...u really think ppl wont be able to tell who is spitting which verse? most ppl know the active ppl's styles on this board already...not to mention u cant control what is said in the verse that will obviously give it away..........

oh...n u think just cuz whoever is voting cant see the previous votes, that there wont be dickride? hahaha....yea fuckin right...it'll just cover it up more....here's an example.....x battles y.....they can both see where the votes stand...n they can still tell their dickriders to vote for em......OR they can just send them links......then the dickrider can say..oh,i didnt even know who's verse it was..i was voting fairly...yea....so it covers it up more.......it wayyyyyyy better to see who is voting,cuz dickride is a lot more obvious.....this voting system,n battle system.....is fuckin garbage....the designated voters idea is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better,eliminates all this bs......................

Unless I am mistaken, after you create the battle, you or your opponent can post/discuss all you want. If you don't agree with the rules, post the reason why and then decline the battle. Once you hit DECLINE, the thread is closed.

Hiding the votes/feedback was not intended to stop dickriding. You and the person you are battling can see everything... just not the people who are voting... all they see are the verses. Why would someone who is voting need to see what the previous votes or comments were? They don't, hence those are not displayed until they vote or leave feedback.

ok....so u really believe that it will eliminate d/r? that the voters dont see what other voters said before them? what is stopping one opponent from sending a link the their battle to one of their friends? u're back to square one..the other person will be posting in " battle forum problems" complaining to have the vote removed.......so how has it implemented the voting system?

First off, the battles are now no longer anonymous. As for how hiding the feedback and votes will not eliminate d/r I'm still confused... Hiding that info stops swaying by the people battling and streamlines the voting process when the verses are right there without the need to scroll and find the verse. It also only allows people to post a verse once and disallows people to post your verse for you.

ok,so all u've done is the voters cant see what other voters have said....sorry,but SWAYING wasnt the biggest problem in voting....n i think u've solved nothing...because ur opponent can still tell ppl to vote for em,n tell em what others have said.,or what the standing are...n if u think that wont happen,u're in denial..if u think since u banned pm-ing for votes,that it stopped,u are also in denial about that............this hasnt solved anything......u really should consider that designated voters idea i proposed awhile back...................it would eliminate d/r...sway....blacklist...battle forum problems.....everything.........

I aint too sure about that voting shit cuz some kats D/r in a whole nother level these days. they could easily PM there boys which verse is whose or there boys could automatically know whose is who by the style. It wont really solve much to complicate it. I like a everything else. relaunched is leaving original in the ice age. I sighned up there and it takes too long to do anything. cnat vote till U get 120posts and the cyphers are garbage too. no real competition. and I cant tell if I have a battle wit some one or not. its just a mess. thanx for making relaunched the best rap site out here. keep it going ya'll.
