Why cant people just be themselves? Unfortunately, I ventured into the Members Pictures forums, only to be bombarded by images of both genders trying to be something that they are not. Why? Why do these Caucasian kids want to be another race? Why cant they love themselves for who they are? Why cant these females post their actual pictures as opposed to pictures of someone else to comply with societys anorexic view of beauty? You are what you are, and you should love and accept that regardless of your enviroment and opinions of the close-minded.


I live in Denver, my father is a white/black mix and my mother is a hispanic/white mix. As a result of which, I am left with curly hair, a small penis, and white skin.


The majority of Denvers' population is Mexican. Im not gonna change my name to Paco and and drive a low rider Cadillac. No. Why? Because that is not who I am. I am a white male, I accept that. I dont care if Mexicans or Blacks look 'cooler' or are more loved.


Just be yourselves, and do not give in to popular demand.



As for the females who opted to post pictures of others, I only have one question : why? Are you afraid of the criticism? Are you cursed with that low of a self-esteem level? I know that it is extremely cliche to hear this, but beauty truely is on the inside. I, after having matured into the person I am today, would much rather be blessed with a woman with average looks who treats me with respect and love, than the modern day bitch who lives off of her exterior appearance. Love yourselves and someone else will grow to love you.


And lastly, you guys that like certain things just because someone else does. Blah. I listen to mostly underground rap, and a select few rock bands. Why? Not because people say that Mainstream rap is too commercial, not because rock is the 'new big thing', but because this is what I like. Dont get me wrong, I am always open to new ideas and new genres, but just because Bob from down the street says that Joe Rapper sucks and that MC Gimmick is better doesnt mean that im going to throw out all my old cds and adapt my lifestyle to another opinion.


Do what You want to.. Not what everyone else wants you to do.


This, upon other reasons, is why I have come to have respect for a few people on this site.


C-Section - Overweight...doesnt give a fuck. Perfect. You think hes fat? Fuck you. Hell be over in the corner eating whatever the he wants to. Take your opinions to someone else you can brainwash to into wanting to be you.


Bruklor - Always stating his opinions, regardless of the thoughts of others. Open about his playing of the guitar, doesnt care if you dont like him because of his hobbies.

And lastly, every ugly, overweight, blind, armless, crippled person who has posted real pictures of themselves, throwing caution to the wind, just so you can put a face behind the words.

i agree with you dez....and i respect you for taking the time to type this out....i suggest everyone listen to dez b/c he has it all figured out....why be ashamed of what you really are?.....especially when youll never meet these ppl whom will criticize you, or compliment you, in real life.......

This is prbably one of the most intelligent threads on the site but I have to disagree on one thing, only black people are "gangstar". I honestly listen to nearly every genre of music there is. (Includes Country on Occasions) Basicaly what I'm trying to say is that hip-hop isn't a black thing, lowriders aren't a mexican thing, It's just how and where you grew up, say you're white and grew up in the projects, chances are you'll listen to hip-hop and where baggy clothes because It's what you could get. Growing up in a rich community chances are you're gonna listen to pop and dress in Suits and whatever other clothing was exceptable. Race is not what I have problems with. It's people who go against there upbringing so they can seem cool

You shouldn't get all offended that people aren't staying true to themselves... They are the ones that are going to get clowned.

I don't really think its a big deal to begin with, so what a white guy wears a durag and a fitted, they dont deserve to be persecuted because of it. But we can still laugh at them :)

wow, i agree with everything you said..on another site another member caused a kind of riot when they posted fake pics..it ended up in a big argument and now they've left..they been exposed so to speak..i would never post fake pictures..i'm proud of who i am..even though i may not be the prettiest or nicest girl in the world..i'm me..and to deny who i am is to deny the fact i was placed on this earth for a reason, the reason, to succeed.

Very very good point Dez, in a way. I do disagree with some of it. I'm white, I wear a fitted, Akademik shirts, polo jeans, whatever looks good. I ain't a wigger neither, and I have never lived in the hood or the burbs. I live in a small house with 6 dogs and a snake.

My best friend wears a fitted and is white, I have a lot of friends that are "wiggers" or what you want to call it, I chill with mostly older people than me and I don't care if they're black and white. I even talk to some of the less popular kids and make friends with them. I could care less in that aspect.

But here's where your wrong Dez, if you're white and grew up with a black community you're going to act like you're brought up. I'd like to applaud Transmogrify's post because it summed up a lot of my views on this. Don't lie, I bet there have been times when you wished you were somebody else because of a certain girl or you wanted to look different. You're not human if you don't. If you totally felt this way then you would have posted your pic already. Everybody gets clowned no matter what, and if I ever posted my pic up I'd be guarunteed hate like the rest of us. But opinions can hurt somebody, if you get called fat or ugly or something it's going to hurt. In Philly they have a hood, no suburbs. Most is inbetween though. Nonetheless, if you live in a city opposted to the Burbs you will act different. And if you're white you will turn into a wigger in most cases. But fuck the word wigger, what do you expect from a rap site? Most white people are wiggers on RB, and if everybody on RB didn't clown so much about wiggers you would see a lot more pictures put up.

Just my two cents on this.

I have yet to post my picture due to the fact that I dont desire to spend 50 + dollars on a digital camera so internet folk can view me.


If I knew someone with a camera who lived near me, or if any of my friends used a computer, I wouldve posted one already.
