Terror Alert...

Does anyone care?
Does it change anyone's day or anything?
like fear another attack...

i personally don't let that bother me...
maybe because i live by pittsburgh...
why would they wanna attack pittsburgh?
heinz ketchup or something? lol...
so i don't worry

what about u?

Koalatee 12-21-03 08:13 PM

I color-code my whole wardrobe & subsequent outfits pending the nation's terror level.

Baron Mynd 12-21-03 08:15 PM

I dont fear one. Dont see why i should, if their gonna do it - they'll do it. There's not a lot you can really do.

Koalatee 12-21-03 08:16 PM

^ that's because we control sole possession of Tony Blair's testicles - we would never let anybody hurt the little, old UK.

Kclipz 4 Murkin 12-21-03 08:18 PM

aint worried bout it

Dez 12-21-03 08:18 PM

^ A lot of truth is said in jehst.

Thrust 12-21-03 08:20 PM

but which country would most likely be struck?
US or Englad...

i deffinately say they are after US more

Baron Mynd 12-21-03 08:23 PM

Yeah, the US obviously as it is larger and has more potential taget's there, but there were plan's for an attack here after Sept. 11th but the people were caught before they could do anything.

Classic. Simply classic.

And, I live in Canada, so I'm not to scared.

MuhThugga 12-21-03 08:38 PM

I don't care....I live in Delaware...only thing to strike is the Dover air base.....but that is 2 1/2 hours away from where I live so I'm straight.

I don't really care....this whole terrorist thing is getting blown out of fucking proportion by Bush and Rumsfeld.

Taktik 12-21-03 08:40 PM

^^^^Exactly........we dont do anything to anyone.....so no one really hates us

DEL the funkee 12-21-03 08:49 PM

Hey! we dont do anything to anyone either...

Well besides the whole imperialistic conquests, puppet governments and strangleholds on weaker economys...

But whos really keeping score?

wogzta 12-21-03 08:53 PM

you cant really help it if they are going to attack, so just live life like normal and dont waste time worrying. It wont help you anyway.

Accelerate 12-21-03 09:07 PM

All this "You can't help it if they're going to attack" talk is easy to say when your not living in one of the biggest targets in the United States. We can't do anything after the attack, but we can sure as hell try to prevent one. I've gotten used to living with a terror attack, but the fear is always there.

wogzta 12-21-03 09:13 PM

^ correction, YOU cant prevent it. The military or w/e can. So theres really not much point stressing over it.

Accelerate 12-21-03 09:15 PM

^Correction
Remember that plane attack prevented by the common people?
Wasn't that an attempted terrorist attack, with the shoe bombing?
Didn't the people bring that attack down?
I thought so.

self 12-21-03 09:21 PM

"GET UNDER THE DESKS CHILDREN!!!"

Accelerate 12-21-03 09:36 PM

Chill with that...
It's
"Everybody, please evacuate to a point of high evelation."
Or
"You can buy your new Anti-Terrorist Kit at your nearest Hardware store for high prices. But if you order now, You'll get yours for $19.99 with free shipping and Handling. Use your credit card and We'll give you TWO kits for the price of one!"

wogzta 12-21-03 09:40 PM

^ ok ok you sonned me :D

but still, i wouldnt pay $20 for a anti terrorist kit. And cough, im a big terrorist target too... Sydney Australia :D

Accelerate 12-21-03 09:41 PM

Well it isn't true, but it sure felt that way a year ago with the Anthrax scare.

lol...what movie was it where the teacher was having a nuclear attack drill and told all of the kids to go under their desks and one kid didn't and when the teacher asked why he wouldn't the kid gave statistics about the impact of a nuke and said, "this building and everything else would be incinerated so I don't think hiding under your desk will do much."

Longest sentence ever I know.....but what movie?

whitelightning 12-22-03 05:07 AM

you got yourselves into this mess..and now your paying for it..

It's sad..but true.

Koalatee 12-22-03 08:39 AM

Mess? Judging from your joke of a foreign policy, Canada's heart, body & soul would lie face down in the "mess" that is America.

DaGyrlRemarqabL 12-22-03 10:18 AM

I had plans to go to Times Square on New Year's and now I'm thinking twice..Plus I have friends and family flying on New Year's Day so it's a little scary..

Probably a false alarm but you just never know.

Even if you don't believe in all the terror alert hype, the idea of friends and family flying around this time is a little bit scary.

Hopefully just a false alarm. =) No need to worry =) *as I say to myself, while sitting under my desk with my computer monitor on the ground, keyboard in lap*

Hey, :nono: Your a little bit off there bud. You see, the only thing that got America into 9/11 and the possibility of another attack is the way they live. The rule of the government, the amount of freedom the American people have. But also the fact their army is so strong, and the little bit of beef that any nation would cause when battles/wars/fights happen.
The only difference between Canada and America in those aspects is the military, and CIA, and FBI.

Yes.

The only thing I can think of that has changed is the capture of Saddam. A group of 20 or so Iraqie's (sp?) that liked Saddam is all it will take.

But, the chance of that happening = Very Very Very Small. I'm talking like Decimal Point Next To None Small here.

C-Section 12-22-03 12:11 PM

and those 20 that actually liked him dont have the money to get here without saddam.

so nothign will happen

Accelerate 12-22-03 12:14 PM

Word..Since Saddam got caught with the money(U.S money, gee I wonder) that they had. That doesn't eliminate the fact that the other guy with the long beard(We don't dare say his name) might do something, but it's doubtful.

C-Section 12-22-03 12:17 PM

ahhhhh

she loves me now

Ok GeGe, your safe :P

Some many of these kids have no comprehension as to what they speak on. I am glad you kids are not in charge of anything outside of putting on the clothes that mommy has layed out for you... Yes this threat is vaild, and eminate, more so in Los Angeles than anywhere else. It's so much a concern to me, I had my daughter moved out of Los Angeles until after the Holidays. I am not alone in this action, just about everyone on my team has done the same. So as to how real this threat is, I would say very. Will it happen? That depends on how well we can derail our oppenets effots. Public awareness is a great way to call attention to areas and people involved. Scrutiny makes terrorist activity limited in scope and abilities. This is a reality we are going to live with for now on(terror threats and alerts), same as the one Isreal has lived with for some time now. Children please try to understand the situation instead of looking to place blame, that is so very charecteristc of children.

Accelerate 12-22-03 12:48 PM

So you mean I'm going to die?
Awwe shit...

bouncedoggydog 12-22-03 01:09 PM

NO I mean this not some joke or meaningless government sharade, it's meant to inform the pubic and tell terrorist we are aware. I have to sleep at night knowing just how close some of these thwarted attacks have been, it's not easy living a normal life knowing all the information betrusted to me. Most see it as silly, yet have no actual clue as to how serious it really is. Most times I try to forget after my briefings, yet this last one really hit home. I decided the threat is real enough to send my duaghter away for the time being. Not just becuase of the increased chatter as of late, but based on intel intercepted recently in Los Angeles. I am confident in our ability to handle such threats, but one of my duties is to perform to the best of my abilites. Haveing to worry about my duaghter at the same time would take away from the mental cleartiy and sharpness required by my job. So she is in a safer place and I can do what ever task is asked of me.

Belive me, if the general public was to sit in on homeland defense briefings, a public panic would ensue. Everyone who does have to carry that load is stressed beyond belief and have a very hard time carring on as normal. Anyone who has ever been in that position knows exactly what I mean...
