i know you saw that catch. and last week too he had two amazing catches. most of his receptions looked uncatchable. on second im yelling at my TV thinking jeff threw a badd pass then im saying OH SHIT HE CAUGHT IT! lloyd is dope.

he didnt have big numbers this year, but thats only because 49ers are beringing him in slowly. but if he was the #1 WR he would easly be a 1000 yard guy

did anyone miss that catch? if you missed it you better watch the highlights on ESPN thats one of the greatest catches i have ever seen.

What mic 12-28-03 11:43 PM

ya its great

Axiom 12-29-03 12:24 AM

Haha, I saw it. I was in shock when he caught it. I actually thought to myself, "c-section must be going crazy." Too bad that catch didn't mean anything though.

C-Section 12-29-03 12:47 AM

yea garcia must think his WRs are shortstops with all those grounders he threw.

Chrit 12-29-03 12:51 AM

That SF game was painful to watch....

So I watched an old one from 89 afterwards....

Axiom 12-29-03 12:53 AM

Can you tell me why they threw the ball on 4th and short?

Chrit 12-29-03 12:54 AM

Complete Lunacy?

C-Section 12-29-03 12:55 AM

i have no idea. i dont know why they had fred beasley on the side line either. he is automatic on short yardage situations. even if he didnt get the ball he is a damn good blocker that needs to be in when 49ers need a big paly.

but knowing niners they did it cause everyone expected run. bill walsh did it in the 1982 NFC championship against the cowboys. niners where behind so cowboys were expecting niners to pass and they ran it on almost every play. bill walsh was a genious like that.

dont ask how i know about shit that happened before i was born, im just obsesed with 49ers like that

and the pass would have worked if jeff didnt throw it to the ground,

Chrit 12-29-03 12:57 AM

Vote- Hire Pats. offensive coordinator....

Dude deserves a head coaching spot

C-Section 12-29-03 01:00 AM

no i think 49ers need to bring marty morningwheig back, he was wack as a head coach but 49ers scored atleast 30 a game with him as their offensive cordinator.

marty is like ray rhodes, he isnt a good head coach but he is one of the best coordinators in the NFL.

^He threw it too short. Garcia chokes under pressure.

Is Marty Morhinwig the Lion's ex-head coach? And is the Pat's o coordinator that fat black guy?

Chrit 12-29-03 01:03 AM

I'm saying Pats Offensive Coordinator as Head Coach....
Guy deserves a shot at this point....

Dennis Green is always lurking around as well.... suprised nobody has picked him up yet... talk is going around about him coming back next season however...

C-Section 12-29-03 01:10 AM

no, dennis errickson is a good coach. he wont get credit of it because of their record. but the offence was ranked 5th in the NFL up to this week, and the defence was 10th.

and as the season went on and he got to know the teams strenghts and weakness 49ers started scoring alot more points. in the last 7 weeks they were averaging 30 points a week.

plus you have to look at the fact that the entire 49ers offensive line was fighting injurys, jeremey newberry played the whole season with a injury that they thought would have him missing the whole season. and the rest of the line had alot of diffrent injurys and everyone who knows football knows the most important part of a offence is the offensive line.

wait till next year, errickson should know the team better, and hopefully they dont have the injury bug like they did this year.

and errickson is also pretty good at finding talent in the draft. he is the one that got seahawks most of their good players, holmgren only got about 2 good guys. the rest was bulit by errickson.

Good point...

Question....
Should the Niners make every effort to resign Owens?

Or should they start building the recieving corps around Streets and Lloyd?

Axiom 12-29-03 01:17 AM

The 9ers had an injury bug?! Shit, the raiders had a god-damned injury monster if that's the case. And someone answer my question about the Lion's ex-head coach and the fat black guy.

C-Section 12-29-03 01:21 AM

yes axe your right about the coaches

chrit i dont think they should resign him. he is already 30 years old, and is going to want aabout 80-90 mill with 20 mill signing bonus, and now he is coming off a big injury, and his mouth is a cancer to the team. no body on the team likes him, thats why he is always by himself on the sidelines

49ers have to many young freeagents that they need to resign including julian peterson, kevan barlow, and ahmed plummer, if 49ers resign owens they wont be able to resign all the freeagents.

i think they should stick with lloyd and maybe streets, and draft a WR on day one in the draft.

Chrit 12-29-03 01:23 AM

I think they should draft a kicker...
Preferrably the kid from Iowa if he's available at that point....

C-Section 12-29-03 01:27 AM

kicker on day one? no way. 49ers need WR OL and DL more then anything else. a vet kicker can be had threw the freeagent market this offseason, or they could draft one later in the draft. we drafted chandler in the 4th and i regreted it since the day he was picked

Chrit 12-29-03 01:28 AM

The kid from Iowa will be one of the top kickers in the NFL...

He will go on day one....

C-Section 12-29-03 01:30 AM

kickers never go high, unless your the dumb ass raiders. kickers are usualy 5th and lower, even the best ones.

Chrit 12-29-03 01:32 AM

This kid will go more than likely third....

But yeah... pick up an OL or WR first....

But a young kicker, especially that kid would be a good pick up if locked in long term

not as good as seeing it live, but you get the point

Dez 12-29-03 02:35 PM

I saw it...

And yes, I admit hes got good hands..

but his route running is not as crisp enough...not nearly...multiple times while watching Niners games this year ive seen him take an extra step and sometimes not even run the right route...

but, with experience i think that hell be able to have a strong supporting role, but not quite star calibur.

C-Section 12-29-03 02:46 PM

of coarse his routes arent perfect he is a rookie, no rookie runs perfect routes.

lloyd is star calibur, every 49er fan is already on his jock, he has been doing it since mini camp, if you fallow the niners the way i do you would see it. but from the out side looking in on what he has done, and the fact that he wasnt a big name coming out of college i understand you not seeing it yet

even the seahawks said they were worried about lloyd even though he didnt have a big season.

jeff garcia says he has more confidance in lloyd then any other WR on the team INCLUDING TO. the whole team says he is going to be a star, ahmed plummer says he has the best agality and hands that he has ever seen, and ahmad plummer was a 49er when jerry rice was still here. their was an artical on him not to long ago, with players from the 49ers talking about lloyd, all of them said he is going to be a star and that he is the future of the team, then you add in the fact that lloyd has a 36" virtical jump.

i dont see how he wont be a star WR.
