If your text and want audio (8 STEPS)
 

Aight imma break it done for you guys who want to do audio. im not sayin stop text im just here to provide info to help you with starting audio.

ok first. you already have a headstart becuase you know how to ryhme and how to basically set up a song.

step1:

open kazaa.
Search for Cool edit pro 2. Then double click it to download it. then search for the "cool edit pro 2 serial". after you find that download it. open cool edit and follow the steps for installation.

Step2:
buy a mic. now you should later upgrade to more expensive condensor mics but for now. go to radio shak or bestbuy get you a 10-30 dollar comp mic. after than plug it into your computer. Also buy some headphones. your gonna need them to record. hook those in to.

step3:
open kazaa back up. search for "instrumental". lots will come up. download a couple till you get one more of your style.

Step4:
Open Cool Edit pro. right click one of the tracks and click insert then click waveform. find your instrumental (usually in the shared folder). click play to make sure it plays right.

step 5: recording
on the left it should have a little R button. its by a M button. that sets the track whre your going to record. make sure its not clicked on the same track as the instrumental. click an empty track. make sure your headphones are the speakers and not your speaker. in other words make sure the music comes through your head phones.

on the bottom where it has the play and pause is the record button. click record and begin to spit in the mic. freestyles or what ever you writtin

step 6: saving
click file then go to save session. its gonna pop up alot of save windows and click yes and name all your tracks. then name the session. (note its good to make a folder commited to just that one song or it could get messy)

step 7: rendering
aight youve finished and want to upload ya shit. well go to file save mixdown. and click mp3 at the bottom of the popup window then name ya file.

step 8:uploading
go to www.soundclick.com and start an account. sign up a band. then click add new songs. then upload ya song and post it here at rb.


this was provided by postman to help ya cats elevate in audio. hope it helped some.

hey, how do u make beats longer? i found a good beat but it only lasts 50 seconds and the first 20 seconds is a different sound. and i tried to copy and paste it but it always made a noise then play what a copied. help please

what your referring to is looping. cool edit is just shitty for looping. i use acid pro.. in fact i never use cool edit but its what i started with.. if your new looping can be hard. but there is no way to just make it longer. you should familiarize yourself with the program a bit more.


MICS/HEADPHONES

it can be any mic that plugs into your comp.

and any headphone that u would normally use for a cd play or so forth.

Good tips for starters.

I remembered when I used cool edit when the very first of its programs came out. I accually enjoyed doing it. I might do it again just to fuck around... LOL ... and this is a hell of a way to start. Thats how I started, and now im in studio's in three states. LOL ... Nice information for the new cats hommie...

try separating your lips from each other. its all in the stomach. dont breath while letting out the sound. try to imitate the letters in the alphabet. pretty soon youll be able to talk.

can anyone help me with my mixer this might be a lil advanced its a phonic 1202a when i record using the 2trtn aux button pressed down i cant get the play back thru my heaphones but when i put it to the main l/r button i can get playback and microphone playback cept acid records the music playback aswell as the microphone its really annoyin
