Well .. apparently Strobe is upgrading to VB 3 .. and i know a lot of you think the RB Battle Record Hack is pointless, don't really like it and think it would be better to have just normal battles back .. so yeah, that's what this is for. I expect all the newbies to come in and defend it, but i cant make it a vet-only votes poll, lol .. so yeah.

RB Battle Hack - keep it, or get rid of it.

i think its gay as fuck... it would be better if mods did more to keep it effective, but when theres an un explained gay or hate vote and its in the poll, i never see anything done to have it removed...

simple battles up to 5 votes, and a mod can close the battle when theres been 5 good votes for 1 person is better, just dont know how the updating of battle records would work...

but poll voting is gay...

keep...its easy...u get a bad vote report it...i do it all the time.....it doesnt even matter if it gets closed....just report it....its easier for the mods to fix bad votes than to close every battle

What was the method before the battle hack was used? I heard that the admins or mods had to enter in the wins/losses manually?

Yes, it attracts a lot of herbs and other DRs. But its so much easier for mods, a battle record is kinda cool. It can be herbish, but its very convenient. If the mods harshen up on the DR voters and all of FL then it won't be as bad. The mods are getting more strict, but I still think DR's should be disposed of. 90 percent of the site are n00bies and herbs. But I remember how cool the battle record was when I started out, I think it'd be fair to the n00bs to keep it. It attracts new members as well. I don't exactly care for the poll but I think FL enjoys it. Once in a while somebody will emerge from FL not caring about battle records, just getting better. Like I said, it's alot easier for mods as well. If we had no polls then everybody would cry about non-explained votes and it would be crazy. We would need more FL mods, I just think it's alot easier. It's fun to laugh at the kids with the big records that are nowhere near a vet, but FL kids look up to them. Its good shit, my opinion stands, it should stay.

This has been argued about many a times before.

The battle hack is what makes Rb unique from the other sites and keeps it neat a tidy.. If we didn't have it people would put their records in their sigs and lie and such. It would make Front Lines an even bigger mess and harder work for mods. Plus, it attracts members to the site.

Getting rid of it would be very foolish.

It makes things easier, thats why I like it...
But the nice records could be off of all newbs...

the hack should just stay...no matter what herbs will keep their wins in their sig anyway...plus it attracts new members and when they finally figure out that its herbish to have wins and who you beat in their sig, and get tired of batting....they will leak into the leagues and keep them going smooth and well

RB is unique for having it and either way all it would do is cause more confusion and blah...

I say keep it, but make it so the wins don't go on your record automatically, make it so like the old system USE polls, but when its donen the mod has to go over it and check there are no bull-shit votes. Then once a mod checks over it he updates the persons record.
That way we can still have records, and eliminate dick-ryding...
May be a bit mroe work for mods, but im sure alot of people are willin to put in work to make it better

But, if ya go the other way...

I'm still keeping a battle record...

But I'm deleting about half the losses for ridin and takin 3 days to come up with a verse...
