B-Kast 01-15-04 08:01 AM

you ahve to pay for them dumb fuck, its hard to get full photo editing programs for free now.
I got mine when i got my computer...

Straight Ace 01-15-04 08:16 AM

True, usually when you do download it, it comes with incomplete files & other bs..
So get a burned copy.
& generate a serial number with a KeyGen.
The newest adobe photoshop out is 8 or CS.

B-Kast 01-15-04 08:18 AM

How dope is my sig...i use photoshop 6.0

self 01-15-04 11:18 AM

Errm...I’ve downloaded Adobe Photoshop like 4 times and I’ve never gotten anything about it being incomplete. Just don’t be a complete idiot when you download it. Look at the file size, if its like 300 or 1, 999 and shit, its not the program. The real program is in the 32, 000 range...no wait, 333 333 something like that. I’ll look at the file when I get home. It’s a big file, obviously.

I only have one problem with Photoshop. A lot of time I can’t do to much of anything, like I can’t drag an image to far and shit. If I do “overdo” it my computer just will just shut down. I think it has something to do with not enough virtual memory or something like that. Only thing is, I don’t know how to fix it.

Transmogrify 01-15-04 11:23 AM

Get paint shop pro, Photoshop requires quite a bit of knowledge with editing images

Straight Ace 01-15-04 11:25 AM

Yeah that problem is caused by not enough virtual memory..which you can easily expand btw..I had the same thing.
& yeah obviously u'll have to look at the file size, but sometimes the file size will be correct..but then some files have been edited or w/e..
Or has been damaged during the transfer.
But i've downloaded it several times to..with Kazaa...

If I get a new (pretty good) Video Card will that take care of it? (I have to buy one anyways).
Err...How much will expanding cost? Give me a run down of everything here, pleeease.

...OpeY... 01-15-04 12:20 PM

i heard that some people make cd covers using photoshop... is that true?

...OpeY... 01-15-04 12:23 PM

that would help but u need to get more memory. the best place to get memory is ebay. they have the cheapest memory you'll ever find. but u have to get the right kind of memory for ur computer.

Dev 01-15-04 01:31 PM

ive got 7.0, so obviously 5.0 aint the newest...lol.... but 8 is the latest....

i'm an it technician and it sounds like not enough physical memory (RAM) do you have a video card?? that would also help.. investing in both of these will ensure photshop runs perfectly,,, i have 256 mb of SDram (not very much) and a nvidia geforce fx 5600 xt 128meg graphics card and i can do any process on adobe quick as blinking

I'm pretty sure my computer has 256 Mb. (I'm not at home, but I'll check when I get there. And, what's "SDram"? or is that the proper acronym for RAM?).
Erm, I'm really not sure about the video card...I need to get one anyways, so I can play Halo and Call Of Duty that I got. How much will the card you said go for do you think?
Thanks. :)

COM 01-15-04 01:47 PM

i just paid 100 pound, if your in the states that will be about 145 dollars, the SD, is the type of ram i have,,,, it all depends on what type of ram your motherboard supports,,, ask sumone who knows what they are on about to take a look,,, you could have SDram, PCIram or the best of the best DDRram which stands for Double Data Rate. (very cool) with my setup (1.3mhz processor) which is really very basic., i can run call of duty on full very smoothly....

Edicius 01-15-04 01:50 PM

I got people to do it for me now. :p

http://www.suprnova.org/, go there and download the client at the bottom of the page. Then you should be able to get anything there, although it could take several days.

C-Section 01-16-04 08:45 PM

how do you mkae see through pictures?

like a pictuer of me, but you could see threw me to something behind me.

bouncedoggydog 01-16-04 11:04 PM

Bruk you need atleast 512MB of memory, and 40 gigabyte HD with virtual memory set to 1M (portion of Harddrive will be used as look ahead type memory) A decent Video card would only aid the situation as well. Under these conditions Photoshop should run quite effeciently.

Well I had 64MB of RAM before and only 15 GB HD, with a 8MB Graphics Card, and photoshop ran smoothly for me. Maybe something else is wrong with ur comp.

Dustin Dubree 01-17-04 12:50 AM

the newest out is 7.0...you can make cd covers...although I can make cd covers I think you should buy Macromedia Fireworks Mx 2004...it's a really good program and easy to work with

¤KiNgPiN¤ 01-17-04 12:55 AM

Seems really good.

D-Dizzle 01-17-04 01:52 PM

I got Photoshop 6.0, but the lastest jump-off is Photoshop CS, which is 8.0 but that what they call it though......

Yhea you can do anything on there, CD covers, business cards, flyers, 3d images, illustrations, airbushing, shit anything you can think to print out, you can even design a web page on there, with the links, roll overs and all that..it depends on your skill and what plug-ins you cop....

I did my sig in Photoshop.....

There is. It's my computer.

Canuck 01-17-04 03:50 PM

OK Peeps Listen up:

Adobe Photoshop is the best image program in the worlds hands down. It is used by most professionals and is used for far more than CD Covers. Don't settle for others (Fireworks, Corel, etc) If your gonna learn a program, learn Photoshop. Also, it is known to be a RAM pig, you need lot's of memory to run it. Video card has nothing to do with it trust me.

Oh and whoever wanted to know how to make somthing wee-thru (transparent, alpha) just lower the opacity of the layer you want transparent, and save as a transparet .GIF or .PNG

Canuck 01-17-04 03:52 PM

I'm a Photoshop Guru, PM me if you have any questions. Especially in Flash MX, or photoshop.
