But, what gets me is that theres 22 guests browsing with no membership...

Now wouldent it be good for the board if they all registerd...!!

Rb has had tremendus activity recently..that's nothing, ive seen it double both those numbers yesterday

I mean the comunity is growing....I havnt seen a rise in this net society since i joined last january........

Not regularly, but lately. I suppose there is some type of a ploy to make it seem as if our activity is astronomical - thus achieved by finding a way to have more guests than users logged on at all times.

Thats a problem in my mind...!!

I mean, we gotta get them to join...The new look is a GOOD start... Any thoughts on how to get them to join..!!??

When I was s-mod I always gave an open invitation to use me as an advertising consultant....

Now i remember wen big name heads joined cuz there was a tourney were the winner pocketed cash...

And shit like that....

There were sponsors and shit...

There could be deals done....I mean, advertise a certain shoe shop on here in exchange for a pair of air force 1ns for the winner of an audio tourney........

might get more peeps to start audio, and it would make the site mor active...

Id people get me a list of websites of artists and other hip hop related things I would be happen to get in contact with them about sponsoring events.... = )

The current owners should be business minds..
Cause RB has the potential to make alot of money, which can be used to sponsor tourney's & shit as said.
& lookin at the fact the owners hardly post..or participate in events on RB..
Being business orientated wouldnt make a difference..

Personaly, im proud of RB..(Even though i been banned 5 times and seen so many majour beefs and new owners)

Im glad to be a part of it...Cuz it is a decent place...

But its not circulating....Weve got a new skin after waitn for it for so long...And its good...

Theres a wave of new peeps here to...But we need them to stay active and shit...We allso need to keep the site active...Theres a new season in SS wich will be good..We need more heads in audio...More importantly, we need more Mods...More S-Mods and all.... And other than this...we need more rules that are easy to obbide.. But if you cross them, there will be hard punishment..!!

Yes, we put sponsored tourneys and advertising on the back burner while we are remodeling. We'll look at advertising again once the new layout has been finished. For the tourneys with prizes, yes, that'd bring more members... But will they stay after the tournaments are done and over with? After we get finish with putting in all the hacks, we will focus all our attention on selecting more moderators to help things run more smoothly and to encourage and lead discussions. Because during the tourneys, new members will also be browsing the other subforums and if things are a mess or if they don't feel welcome, after the tournaments are over, they'd just leave and go back to where they were before. I wasn't here in June when the Audio Tournament was ran so I can't say for sure, but from the looks of the stats, activity picked up the week or two before it started and died back down in the middle of June. Maybe it was seasonal but who knows.

Yeah some of those guest browsing are registered members, who probably reset thier cookies and have not realized they arent logged in. Once they try to make thier first post, they will realize thier mishap then log in on a registered member name. I know this happens quite often.

Yeah, me and alldig got the site some attention by throwing a $200 audio tourny when we took over. If the new owners were to do something like that again, and send out emails to all of our members, I think the sites users online would at least double. I hope that they do this once they are done 'remoddeling' like they say they might.

same here: I also think that re-modding to run things more smoothly should be done after the site is finished. It runs ok now, but can always be better. .

Anyway, Brandon, i agree totally....But, do you really think theyll carry on with the new RB thing with a sponsorship or something thats been mentioned ^....

I think the Mods should have outisede-RB targets, like gettin some Graff shop to donate a couple sprays and tips alongside a sketch book with the winners name in it...
Lil things like that....

Theres allot of good mods here that would accomplishe these tasks...

+ it costs money to advertise your site like that..
So like i said in a earlier post, the site owners need to find away to make money of RB.com which could be done pretty easily seein' as the site receives tremendous amounts of traffic a day.

And if people are like me...They have Pop Up Stopper, and Close any pop ups which manage to get by that..
