Pen Tricks..
 

Ok, this shit is driving me crazy. This girl in one of my classes last semester used to do all these tricks with her pen, such as twirling it around her thumb. Now, I've tried.. and tried some more, and I CANNOT get this to work. I even looked at a tutorial online, but no help. Can anyone do this? If so.. what should I try and do differently?

I've tried doing the thing where you roll a coin over the top of your hand.. I think it was in Lethal Weapon at one time...
Looks dope.. had it a few times.. 1 outta 10 maybe..

I can barely hold the pen in my hand n' write for substantial periods of time, neva mind doin' circus trick wit it...lol

But the circus tricks with them make you look cool.

I agree, the dude needs a hobby and a woman.. but I still wish I could learn that damn thumb trick. It's supposed to be one of the easiest ones. I've thrown my pen on my floor more times in the past 20 minutes, than I have my entire life.

I did the pen twirl one 1 out of every 10 times successfully...don't look at me for tips, lol.

Those were dope though.

Try using the same motion that you use to snap your fingers. I can do the top two, and my own variation of the second one with ease.

I stopped thinking about it, and then tried it again.. and it worked! Now I do it 3/4 times..

well yea, doing Tae Kwon Do made me dope with a staff...and i RULE with swords
so but my finger dexterity is sub par

^Tae Kwan Do has nothing to do with weapons....that would be a seperate weapons class the school is teaching....

also offered by the school

Its all concentration. I'm not sure if any of you guys watch the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker, Doin' the stuff with the chips and shit is tough. I can do one pen thing and thats the one where you push down with your birdy finger and it rolls up around your thumb..

Now that I have wasted time trying to do the damn tricks myself, I understand your frustration END!

I have come to a conclusion based on the girls looks.

IS the girl in your class ugly? Because if she is, then that might explain the extreme finger dexterity! :thumbup:

LoL, no.. she wasn't ugly. And I think I'm really getting the hang of it. I haven't through my pencil in awhile. When I mess up now, it's just on the 'catching' part.

Don't be mad End..Practice makes Perfect..But this is irritating as hell seeing as the floor catches it better.

I'm not aggrivated, as I've gotten pretty decent at it. It's just, when I try to spin it fast like I've seen other people do, it gets too hard to catch properly.

I dont even know how to make the pen spin through all your fingers...but that is my life goal...

When I try to do that..I usually get hit myself by the pen..Now Im gonna be doing it in school and Im gonna hit my teacher...:(
Atleast it gets my mind off something thats been in my mind since Sunday..and Not related to the superbowl BTW.

I plan on perfecting this, then I will try that trick next. My goal is to learn all the 'fundamentals' on that site.
