yo canada has a lot of a different style than a lot of american rap. Down south they have crunk as the main trend. In the west they have the laid back pimpin and westcoast gangsta as the trend. New York they have that whole HipHop original and East Gangsta. In Canada, our rappers are way more into the reggae thing with people deeply influenced from it like kardi and the rascals. If you look at our main frontline mc's, almost all of them have dreads and a bit of a caribean accent.

I've seen all of the above in concert n they're dope. But you have to like the style. I ain't going to say they're better than any other rapper but personally i'd rather listen to them than dirty south or club shit like chingy and nelly.
