I cant understand why Americans would say that Canada "hates america" , cuz do we actually hate anyone in the world? On the CBC here in Canada there was this special where they went all over the States to towns, universites(harvard) and asked americans questions about canada .... and let me tell you Americans knew absolutly nothin .... I know more about Canada and it's defense operations than do most of your Military. I work to defend your nation just as much as I do my own. I train your Engineers to use the hardware that keeps your country safe. I design systems that protect your borders and keeps your Airspace secure, so it's not like I am oblivous to your Country. Yet my efforts and those of countless others never get recognized. We get rediculed and looked down upon because most do not understand the complex situations and hold defense workers in low regard. Canada provides many services to our Country, but no one in Canada wants to recognise the service we provide you. Not all but most have the same attidue. I would give my own life defending your country, as I would my own, even thought when I'm there to support your defense infulstructure I get protested against. I get treated like a red headed step child with sars. I've gotten death threats and tires slashed while in your country! Yet I do my job and offer the best service I can to your noble county, but nonetheless I get hate. I look at it as ignorance and move on. All this complaining about the US, when there are much worse people who could run this country than Bush. When those people take control of the country you'll wish we had Bush back. This country is capable of taking justt about any country in the world, yet we have only worked to liberate countires, is that really that bad in comparison to historical records of coutires with the same ratio of power. No, but when one of those true monsters takes office in DC, you can bet he's going to march right into Canada and every other country at his will. The credit we desrve is not to be likended to the war machine of Nazi germany. Comparing our President to Hitler is your form of recognition, portraying our country as tyrants is the credit we get. That is the recognisiton we get, but is not what we deserve. When America grows tired of the labels and takes actions to justify the lables then I guess you'd be right, but until then it's in the worlds best interest that America does exist today.

I don't expect a bunch of kids to fully understand such complex defense concepts or even analize information as such, but I do expect more kids to have comon sense. I understand that I do have access to more information than you kids will ever get to see in your life time (well most of you) but it's still not hard to make sense out of. The world is not a perfect place, it's dangerous to assume peace would previal without the use of force. It never has been the case in history, what would make it the case today? First, Canada has no 'Canadian' TV channels, but CBC. The rest is American, so we watch, read and listen to your news, commercials, etc. We are force-fed American culture, but at the same time we get Arabic channels, British Channel, etc. and we see other perspectives other than our own. You have to admit our immigration standards are much more lax than yours, meaning I grew up with Blacks, Arabics, Mexicans, Jamacians, Chinese, Japanese, all on one street, not segrigated to it's communities.

You can ask any Canadian about 9/11, around that time, and they'll say..." I can't believe they'd do somthing like that to us......."

We consider ourselves family, and your our protector, we don't hate. We do hate the ignorance, like .." I like your Make-Belief flag" then we correct them and say " no, it's a Maple Leaf.." People thought my province of Alberta was a State in America!

Yes I believe most, not all, but most Americans are ignorant about Canada, Canadians, and it's history, yet we learn in school from grade 1 to 12 about American laws, government, history, geography, etc.

In some cases I know more about America than some of my American friends who have lived there all their lives.
