Is Keystyle legit?
im thinkin that verbally freestylin is like my only way of life these days... but when i see a keystyle or try it... well it's kind of a lame 2nd best...
Does anybody agree that we should just call it pre written text verses... A. cuz it's debatable how off da tip a "keystyle" is and B. there are a bunch of wack liars who pretend their hours of work are "keystyles" holla back y'all {Peace} |

When i keystyle, i write down, what pops in to my head.. w/ out changing my lines afterword.. =)..so yea i keystyle. same as freestyle only with keys o.O..when i pre write, i re read my verse & edit things in or out .. i think thats the diff between keysyle & a prewrittin

i cant stand spending more than 10 min on a piece KEYSTYLE= Real, just typin of the dome rhyme for rhyme....it possible. it may b wack but watch "i keystyle while typin on keyboards, mc better stop hating before they get washed up more than a seashore, this aint tight, its just type, saying keystylin is fake just aint "write""-20 seconds then thers always the fact that they can delete/erase or edit it whenever they want. but same as freestyles....it could prewritten or rehearsed acting like its coming off the dome keystyles and freestyles......just gotta trust them or decide for yourself if its legit |

I don't think "textcee's" or "keystylers" are as credible as rappers... How do you know that your flow is going to be read correctly? I used to post a bit of stuff on this forum, but it didn't make sense after awhile cuz nobody could hear how it sounds... this is why real emcees are successful and people buy cds... nobody gives much cred to the text rappers or is running out to buy their books... ...unless... you count poets and poetry anthologies, that is the area some of the 'textcees" should be focusing on... {Peace} |

yea i attempted to accept keystylin all over again... and... well... no.
it's just to extremes, on one hand you have live freestyle and it's on the left of the spectrum on the other you have pre written verses that are like all the way on the other side.... BUT i shouldn't even use this spectrum analogy cuz anything in between is just a half assed attempt at one of the sides... it's like eating and drinking... any food/drink that tries to fly in between is walkin a pretty fuckin thin line... {Peace} |

No i dont agree.. I key up things, i do it in the normal freestyle sence as well..
except in stead of spitting straight and fast going for however long i can flow for i go line by line. i look at the personas name im about to face, then i spit a line. that line then sets the normal/avgerage length for the rest of my bars, i go line by line, i dont type anything up untill i have to post my battle and i dont save/pre writ my shit.. Theres no point right now since my mic ISNT FUCKING WORKING AN NO ONE CAN SEEM TO HELP MY ASS. but its cool So yes in my eyes it is legit, although! SOME TIMES i do admit to subtracting a word, or adding a word in order to help my flow... so now im not sure whats i think?? LoL Because the general diss, line IS still there.. except mayb it doesnt say the word BUt or ANd, r this time it has If instead to well. SO really as of now im not making a decisons of what i think.. |

I can type over 100wpm...it has nothing to do with how fast you type. It's how fast you think, and what's the point of keystyling if you don't think up a dope verse when you do it?
