making it in rap is all about connections, you have to know how to talk to people on their level, fuck the small playas, go straight for the top, find out all about the CEO's of the major record lables and get into their world.. make them know you, its not easy but thats how you do it.

some rappers know how to do that, n some dont.. its that simple.. what pisses me off is that skill has nothing to do with it because a lot of the big companies are run by people that dont know what good rap is.. they sign rappers on the basis of 'will they sell records' and for a target audience of preppy bullshit kids...

thats why if you want real rap, you buy records from labels like aftermath n deathrow (even tho the row isnt as big as it used to be) because theyve been in the game for a long time and know exactly what real rap is..
