Why did ya'll start rapping?
 

Everyone has a reason and i was wondering what is yours. for me it was just cause i always listen to it on the radio and then when i went in to highschool there were seroius battles going on. and won time i was over my friends house who raps. and he taught me the basic of rap so i started writing, i was bad really really bad. i think the reason was cause i only listened to mainstream rap, when i got into hardcore rap my skill got better. So y did you start?

^you still need to elevate....anyway its not so much that you start rapping....you gotta have that skill...you can't just start rapping you have to have talent....thats why we have so much herbs on this site...cuz there just some people that all of a sudden want to rap and they got no talent or skill....and then they call them self a rapper.......

I've always like spoken word, but when i started listening to ill mc's like canibus, eminem, mc juice, etc.. it made me wanna step my game up. so i started conciously rapping rhymes in multies, trying really hard to think of metas and punches, and i've been on a creative streak ever since.. i can say i've been seriously into hip hop everyday since 2001.. and i don't mean just someone who listens to hip hop, but actually being a part of the culture now..

I was just attracted to rap because of the emcees,flavor, style, and variety of beats in rap, I listen'd to it alot and I wrote my own lyrics, I started usin DMX's kinda flow back in '98 but then i got better with my verses and created my own style..'03 anyways I wanted to become a heard of emcee .. i don't know how that's going down but i'm still up for it.

trigga i had talent in poems and writing before i start and that guy i told you about he taught me how to change a poem style into a rap style. and i no i still gotta elevate and i think i am. i started 1lose the 2wins the 4 lose then 5 wins then 2 lose then 3wins then 3 loses then 6 wins then 1 lose i say that i'm better i don't care what any one else says

i started listenin to rap in yr.7 as soon as i heard luda's rhymes, fuck it was like thats wat i wanna do....and i jsut beeen going since then...i only been on sitez for about a yr though.

^^^^^^ damn u lucky as hell.......... thats good for u man........... i started listenin to rap in 96 right before Pac died...... and my cuz was a big Pac Fan so wen we went to his house after he died he showed us like all his cds and shit and gave us sum...... and i really liked the shit...so i started listenin to rap, especially pac and biggie and the beats is wat really got me.... and then later i was chillin wit my friends (one of em was really big on comps, and this is like a year or two later) and he shows me how u can record ur voice on my comp....... i was really ghetto back then......... i would yell into that lil whole in ur keyboard where it records sound and play the music on my stereo.............. its pretty horrible now that i look back.........lol............. but then i got "Acid" for this school project and found out how to put beats on it......... and got one of those cheap mics.......... then couple years later i got the new acid (convinced my dad it would improve my work) got FL Studio (same excuse) and this is where im basically at now............ horrible........... haha, but i still wanna figure out how i get my voice like Carsons........

creativitie showed me this site at school one day and i was horable, then i elevated....

i heard my 1st rap song when i was 6-7 yrs old, i started listening to rap and got hooked to it when i was 9, i started freestyling(rhyme shit off the top of my head, see 8 mile and you'd know what thats about) and writing shit when i was 10-11, today i'm 14 and i can say i've achieved a lot(i'm no shady, but i can say i'm pretty ill)

i started cause i heard wacks doin it n knew i could do it better started listening to it aound 7/8....ten years strong...n merked lots of wack fucks....

didn't really ever listen to lyrics or respect the whole mindset of it before that.

I thought it was yada yada di....i got rims an glocks....

But then I typed rapbattles in a search engine...
And Original RB popped up on top...

And I started.....April 2003

You see these people that rap...
They wear all the goofy clothing, the fubu, Shady,Sean John....
All the shit 3 sizes too big....
And those two colored hats wit no curve....

And it drives me to be better at what they should be good at....
And I like to piss them off by bein better an dressin normal....

i started rappin cos

1) peps say im too silent,i keep all on the inside....and when i feel i gatta let out what's on my mind i find it hard so i started writting and shit...imitating dmx and stuff...

2) dissapointments....friends especially...soo with my problem ^^^i felt i could hurt them back with my words...and yeah over herre when i write some shit and recit it and stuff..peeps say...whoa....u got a lot of anger and stuff....so thats how it started

3) also my mum..i love her but she a bitch to me....

4) family probs...i never had a dad (i'ld say)....he was never therre for me and he got into drugs...threw my mum & i out when i was still like 3 months...with no shelter nothing...and the only thing he could tell me is "i love u & i miss you" in a LETTER after 17 fucking years....


well with all the anger and pain and shit thats how i got into rapping...

i started rappin cus i herd cass,ab n all them otha freestylers do it so i said fuck it n did it plus i was influenced by snoop,biggie,pac,ll all them...

nah i was juss bored 1 day and started rappin

ok 2 years ago i started rapping......i was alwayz a big fan of Eminem.....since he first came to the game and he was noticed.......that is untill i heard 2 Pac......i listened to him a lot and up to this day i still do......that was since like '95....came from the gheto tho i'm white.......i was the ONLY white boy so you know i had to get into it just from the neighborhood.....then 2 years ago i used a 2 Pac style......then found my own.....summer after 5th grade i got into it......then by 6th grade year i merked one of my dudes Tay.....and you know stayed quiet cu i'm that kinda person......over the summmer which was this summer passing i got better and yea.......i'm 13 now........not bad reallly......i should be in 8th but i flunked first so yea.....i am still elevating and knowin my uncle Mike could've got a record deal with Bone......it inspired me more......he knew people who knew Bone and he was like.....like a RAP GOD then.....shit......he lost it tho.....i think he has it in him tho.....and yea......up to this day i am still elevating......and listening to 2 Pac constantly

lol i jus got drunk at parties and rapped against ppl, but i play music , and sing better , music is everything to me

yea................ i still dont really have my own style tho........ been almost 2-3 years...... i juss write shit......... never think about the style or how i should rap on a track......... ima lot better at seein wat one of my friends did wrong then myself for sum reason........... but then my friends hate it wen anyone tries to mess with their shit........ thats y i like to do a track......... and then listen to it a week to a month later after not hearin it ( so i forget totally how it goes and really juss listen to the music) so i can find out wats wrong easier ( i usually end up redoin the whole thing or atleast most of it)

My life style was hard and my family was fucked up... i started rappin when i first listened to Tupac... i got inspired to rap out loud by Eminem and the person who keeps me goin is my dream girl Monique Tsosie... When i see her face and when she talks to me i start to get the urge to rhyme about her and she loves it... so Tupac and Eminem inspired me...
