aight, one thing i noticed this site is weak for is actual freestyling....
i mean shit, i know its only text, an in a way its not freestyling
but still...................
i dont know a emcee from this site who has a nice record an that everybody considers ''dope'' to not pre write............
its like the dope emcees from this site need 2 or 3 days to drop a lousy 6 or 10 lines..........
if ya talented enuff, it should take no longer then 10 minutes to drop...

i've been rhyming for 2 months, i've came along way n beatin vets an better emcees than myslf, an i have never once pre written, not even with open mics......
hence the reazon sometimes i come whack in battles...
but i just start off with 1 line then just flow...
if its hot, its hot, if its not.....ya just battle another day...

i dont see how these so called ''dope emcees'' are considerd dope when they take like 3 days to drop one verse.........

whats everybodys take on this?

My take on this is that all pre writing emcee's should come join me in my eternal holiday resort. I would be happy to kill you and take you there if you like.

I dont prewrite...Even if the spits aint due till 3 days later...ill either wait thewn spit....or spit earlier...people who prewrie arent wack...its just not making them better....but text isnt supposed to be like audio where u spit it fast...so it doesnt bother me

thats a pretty vulgar comment. I actually prefer a 3 day time limit on battles.. Not because im sitting there writing and struggling for 3 days, but because im a busy person... When i get time ill sit and write a verse for like 10mins-half an hour... Even over an hour for a topical when i have writers block... Youll find most dope emcees on this site have other stuff to do.. But text is different to real life... The punches require more depth, and thought.. Because theres more time... A DOPE freestyle in real life would be wack as shit in text.. besides the pro rappers.. but thats why theyre makin millions..

But i think some of the emcees on here are real... I mean... A lot of us started out freestyling.. i think calamity did... triple N is another real cat.. Di Game... etc..

Some peeps on here are net vets, others are emcee rooks... (the real emcee vets bein canibus/em/eyedea etc...)

^yeah i gettya... But most peeps do that... I look for battles with cats online when i feel like it... But say i was battling someone who posed a threat to me.. I wouldnt just key some shit... its text... the point is to be creative.. youve got all the time in the world.. as opposed to freestyling..

Some would consider you naiive for "keystyling" your verses on a primarily text battling site..

an second of all, i have beaten vets, i have gotten propps for alot of my open mic work, an propps in some of my battles.............

an i agree, there should not be a time limit over an hour to drop my verse....

i'll admit, if i battle a better emcee, i'll freeestyle....
then go pover my verse once to see if it needs any changes
but when i face people who are either equal to my self in lyrical skill, or maybe worse then me, i'll freestyle................

i dont believe in all this 3 days to drop one verse
even if it is text, if your good enuff, you shouldnt need to be wantin longer then 20 to 30 minutes depending on the bar limit in the battle

Its impossible to freestyle on a computer... after 2 months of net rapping, your freestyles would be at DR. Suess level...

^very true... My freestyles are way wacker than my texts... All in multi usually.. but not the same complexity.. its the same for everyone..

the term "pre-writing" isnt really a netcee term... cos we all do it on the net if it was..

pre writing is a term used for a REAL emcee doing a REAL "FREESTYLE" that wrote most of what hes spitting before the actual freestyle/battle... Its seen as a bitch move..

hard to apply that to net battles... ya know?
