Wut lyrics help u elevate the most? Basically if u r tryin to right a song or a battle wut gets ya to write the best?

use words that arent to simple, and use some wordplay and meta4 thatll help

If there is music playing I cant find my own lyric's and ill start using word's that i hear in the song.

often writing shit in an open pace helps.... getting inspiration of the shit around you

i write on my computer
pen and pad i only use when im in class or sumtin
and my professor isnt sayin shit relevant 2 me

I listen to instrumentals mostly, to help me come up with song ideas or poem ideas, if i hear words in the background, it throws me off, i just need smooth and mellow beats on..1

What helps me to write is instrumentals, either your own, or of songs you don't know.

Easy to think up lyrics that way.

i agree with everyone who said they cant write with music playing in the background coz i will end up using the words i hear and it just puts me off. i also agree with writing to instrumentals i think u get better flow that way plus its good to rap ya lyrics to the beat.

everytime i hear one of his songs i get inspired to write something just like that...then i realize that i could never write something as good as something nas just dis, but i try anyways...

yo when I wanna make something sick I listen to a sick song...
like if Im in the mood to do some crazy freestylin and pretend Im ripping someone then i'll listen to some krunk songs like "got urself a gun" or "in da club" or "breathe", basically something crazy...
then when im in the mood to do something mellow i listen to something like
"dear mama" or "juicy" or some soft rap...u know what am saying...

and apart from some of u...when I wanna write something crazy the best way for me is to listen to someone elses music at the same time, that way when they say something in their lyrics they inspire me to say something sick too...
