why do so many emcees on THIS site in particular suck in audio? Is it because they are still textcees? or that they are new to rap? or what?

i juss wanna know psychologically how many people settle for being "sub-par" in hip hop, and this board seems like a good place to conduct my studys...especially after i spent a couple hours yesterday just randomly peeping people i never peeped before.

of course people who are wack, arent going to immediately step forward, because everyone has a ego, but i just want to know the thoughts of someone who is just settling for that standard "this is ok, peep mine" response.

If you do admit that you suck, i ask...why are you settling for these flimsy ass responses, from people who just want you to peep there shit and serve them the same answer? It is a looping process in which no one grows.

I'm basically an outsider now...im not posting music online anymore, I'm juss watching while im bored at work..lol, and the question juss poped into my head....

why do people join crews online? this perplexed me so i joined one before to see...and got nothing from it...but i still see people, specifically text emcees making giant crews(M&M specifically), and getting arrogant, when they cant even spit on a mic...isnt the purpose of netceeing for practice?

i know u don't know me, i'm new here, but u can go check my audios if u want to know rather you should put stake in my word or not...

i have a lot of drive...i wanna make something out of my music so i'm putting hella effort and time into it...some kids aren't willing...unless u lack complete rhythm to rhyme on beat or just have no intelligence then there is hope for any emcee...it's just all a matter of how hard kids will work and if they're willing to stick with hip hop...you don't start out ill...and because of this i know numerous people who have just given up...they don't realize that you slowly hafta build up and get better with time as u polish one part of ur music at a time...so kids are either wack because they haven't been in the game long enough or just because they aren't willing to work hard enough...

My delivery is lacking and I think my flow isn't so.. well.. fluent.. people said they've liked it but I don't know

I think it's really my delivery that needs to be upped a notch

cos this is probably the only outlet they have to emcee and what not (well, there main outlet anyway)....while the more seasoned and 'better' emcee's have been rapping/still do rap in the streets and with there bluds all the time....better communication..face to face...voice to voice...etc. etc...its easier to elevate 'on the streets' with your bluds or jusrt some next peeps calling you out...than on the net...(not saying you cant elevate on the net).....

...cos also people are more tempted to do more textcee while on the net than emcee in audio...because its easier...cheaper...while when you're with your bluds person to person...on the street, at home or wherever...you gonna be using your mouth more than just writing....

Nah on a serious note dog, i've realised that people on here (any message board really) will get they head pumped because they got a few good responses from people who most likely never even listened to the audio just got there response from people who posted 1 above them. Next thing you know there considered 1 of the best on the board, there heads blown up, and they cant even ride a beat or spit a song thats not punchline after punchline on a beat they got off mp3.com on a cliche ass battle sounding track thats supposed to be a topical about there girl.

The textcee's trying to spit thing is just because they've adapted to being praised in text, think they can get the same from the audio heads and when they try to spit the same shit they wrote in text they ass... and im almost positive that 85% of the text heads just cant rap so they stick to text. Theres really nothing wrong with it if they just do it to kill time, but i see kids taken it serious as hell. I really doubt Jay Z going to give them a holla to write some shit.... so to me it's a waste of time, i wasted my time doin it. But it was fun here and there...

Thats all i can think of... but i agree man, some kids are just wack and cant help it... to rap you do need some rythem, and some people just dont have it...

PEOPLE ARE WACK CAUSE THERE NOT DEVOTED.

Worst thing I can say about my work is the productions. But thats technical shit I can str8en out with experimenting. Spittin, I've heard a couple people say my delivery doesn't sound energetic. I'd like 2 defend myself and say "Neither is Nas, Rakim, Bahamadia, Proof, or Prodigy" (whew, prodigy.... get him some caffiene) I'd honestly like 2 know if ya'll can tell I got a layed back flow, or if I just sound bored on the mic (Jay-z gives that vibe, sometimes) Otherwise, wit my flow, I got it down quite well. And of course I rock the vocab in my lyrics almost as heavy as my textcee days. (last year, maybe) By the way, why hasn't MC K-otic posted? He's wack. lol.
