but it isn't true. people have off days.

and then you have to move on to audio.
text helped me with my multi's and wordplay.
If you peepd my old shyt and now.
you would see the majour difference.
but never ever call yourself the best.

Chapter 2...being dope wit a pen don't always mean your dope wit a mic...there's so much more to it than being able to say words...and i think only a few people here are quite good @ audio who made the transition well enough (SevenThird, Phenom-in-all, Tha Q etc) but others like C.A.L.I & certain others who are rated well in text haven't got what i expect from audio...and unfortunately their reputation in text automatically gets passed to audio so it don't matter if their audio sucks...if they can write then apparantly they're dope...

I don't believe in words as "best" or "perfection", there's always room for elevation. But some people who do text (i don't mean battles then though) just like to express themselves throughout their words but don't go audio with it. If you're talking battles, text is just text...it's nice for wordplay like you said and it's something that most start with but i do think that taking a step towards audio is taking a step forward for yourself unless you choose to keep it at that...You can be really good at text but in the end, it can't compete with audio in my opinion...

^Thanks...i'm focussing on topicals and open mics right now, no more text battles for the simple reason that they're not my thing...I do some occasionally but I rather use my energy for other things. Haven't been too active but my audio equipment should arrive soon and I plan on dropping stuff quickly and get my name out there (not that I need net fame but just let people see what I got)...I think everybody should eventually at least try audio, can't blame someone for trying right? Just give it a shot ppl...

there can be someone who is best at text... just because they arent doing audio doesnt mean they cant be a great text writer.. granted, audio does do more for you if you are trying to make it but if youre doing this just for fun why worry yourself with best this and best that. and everyone eho talks shit about text heads were text heads themselfs so thats like calling the kettle black, being hipocritical. everyone starts with text and it can do wonders for your audio, but u cant knock what u were doing before u even knew what an audio was... and at one time or another someone that posted in this thread stated they were the best could beat the best or have the potential to be the best in text, and you would be lying if you said u didnt or wouldnt proclaim that..

audio's a steeping stone for the industry, but how many of us on this board are going to make it. and dont pull no bs im signed . because no one on this site is signed to a mainstream industry label... if youre signed its to an indie label plain and simple... so people here act like they are all gonna make it, i would be amazingly suprised if anyone ... To say there is no best at something is to say that it is not done by anyone and therefore nobody can be the best. "Best" goes over a time span with consistency and dopeness, thats basically all.

What I HATE about audio heads now a fuckin days is they are always like...

and they think they are making a good point. Well fuck that. Cuz most of us here doing text do it for a certain reason and whatever that reason is, it is right to us. As for me, I am TRYING to do audio but keep running into problems. Some people can't afford a mic. As for shadows edge, he doesn't even WANT to have rap as a career or anything close to it. He wants to be a mathmetician. So you can't automatically assume that everyone is going to try and have rap in their life all the time, maybe they are just doing it for fun.

With me, NO I am NOT the best ever. I know this. But when I say I am the best RV head everyone fuckin freaks out like RV is the only place that people do text. I could go and find 50 better textcees out there right now and show you. Everyone is too narrowminded and can't think outside the fuckin box.
