tell how you started rappin - i'll go first -

i started from my older brother - him and his homeboys used to freestyle in the room and i could hear them in the other room - one day i went in there and i tried - then from there my brother helped me with lyrics and the basics of rappin - next

I was dating this guy and i wrote tracks for him so he could perform at local clubs and such...but we had a nasty break-up and i thought: "if he can do it, i sure as hell can..." and started rapping myself. So in a way, i should be thanking him...

i think i started from listening to rap music...at 13 i got a computer and got introduced to audio...i didnt do text at first...but after that...i've been writing and freestylin from then on

in grade 8 i sat beside my homey in a couple classes and he would freestyle about killin christopher reeves n shit like that, lol, shit wuz funny az fuck, so i went home and wrote sum shit just fo fun, and everybody liked it. so i just kept elevating, werd

got influenced by Eminem in 8 mile...

first it began bcuz of my brother who was listening to some 2pac shit and all,then like he influennced me,then when the eminem video clip "the real slim shady" came out,he became my favorite rapper till then and influenced me to rap

i was waiting for that...which is prolly the reason more then half this site is all herbs

i was like 8 or 9 and ALWAYS heard my brother rappin to a song or just randomly flowin so of course when your that little you wanna be just like your older brother

Always been listening to rap so i figured id try it... and thats how i got here... i think im gona start some audio soon...

I got influenced by the song...Hey luv by Mob Deep, den I started to listen to tupac and biggie, and mad other heads...so I started to rap, day by day I got betta and my sista boyfriend helped me out, and told me wat I needed to elevate on...till now...so now Im just trying to elevate even more wit out no help. And all I do all day is freestyle wen i'm bored...and work on my performance in front of ppl so basically I'm elevating both skills and performance and Ima keep on.

I opened my mouth and said 1 word...followed by another, and another until I had 16 bars

I was raised on listening to rap my whole life, so it influenced me to like it. Then, my mom told me that my uncle rapped when I was in the first grade or somethin, and I wanted to do it too.

Nostradamus told me to get on this site. so i did. wrote some text for a month or so started writing topicals and a few open mics then moved onto audio about a month ago.

i started it as a joke not its more of a hobby

i was writing poetry on day and got pissed so iw rote some shit baout how my dog bit me and then i put it to a beat,
no really i evolved frm poems and put them to a beat
hence the name

my cousins friend.... he freestyled.. then i wanted to try it... and now im here..
he helped me out on what to do.... like write words that rhymed... then i started doing sentences

A year ago there was almost no beef. probly because there were only 2 crews...

Spektikul told me to join same day he joined the site. i don't even like rap, i play in a rock band and listen to rock music.........:)

why is it the people that dont like rap got good ass records?

because rhyming isn't hard and there is probably a lot more complex rhymes in rock and metal then there is with 50 who? and that m & m fag, so rock heads have a better vocabular

I never battled as a child.

I battled and I got better.

Rapping got boring then I came here and I found new stuff to rap about..

i woke up one day and said 2 rhyming words. It was then, at that moment, that i, J "Best of RV" DOT knew that i was destined to be a rapper.


*oh, yea...and i wrote my first rap, in my 7th grade Alg. class*...hehe

One day i was thinkin' about this shorty and wrote a song. I used to sing in high school, like select choir, all-county, almost made all-state and shit. Then i lost my voice from smokin' and just not singin' no more. I was madd blazed one day and just started spittin' madd shit that rhymed. I was all real basic bullshit and prolly the whackest freestyle ever, but i swear i did that for like a half hour str8, and thought it was the hottest shit ever. I kept gettin' blazed, battlin', held shit down, was doin' my first official battle, came here to elevate and be sharp for it. The rest, as they say, is history.

Wtf? So you sayin because they like eminem means they all herbs? lmao, what about the people that rap because of 2 pac, because of biggie, shyt, some people even rap because of P. Diddy.. These are people that influence others to start rapping, it doesn't matter who influenced you to rap, the only thing that matters is that when you started rapping, you elevate, and try to become as good as the person that influenced you!! There is no rule on who should influence who!! Period...
