. . . . . . . . . Do you think good freestyling is necessary to be considered a good emcee? Honestly I used to be fuckin garbage at free'ing but I just spit and it was pretty coo... But my dad is always talking about how he doesn't respect any rappers who can't free which always made me a little hesitant to tell him I spit. But anyways, answer the question. :thumbup: |

Good freestyle ability isn't necessary to be a good MC I don't think. 'Cuz mainly if you can freestyle then that's just what your known for, like Supernatural. But if that's not your main claim to fame then the less people will want you to kick frees, thus it becomes less important in order to be a good MC.

If you could freestyle very good then you a good emcee because that means you've written many rhymes to beable to freestyle good for a while.. but a good emcee also doesn't have to be good at freestyling.. they could just be good at making songs..

never tried to free, don't think I'd be good at it cuz ion think fast enough...then again I never tried to write a song to a beat and now I'm good at that...I won't try thatshit for a while...shit gets on my nerves though cuz people in the South thrive on that freestyling shit but don't even talk about nothing and to me it's like "why rap if you nore even gonna say shit?..then just FUCKin' talk" which is what it sounds like most of 'em doing anyway, at least here in Houston...
but yeah, back on topic, it's one of the elements needed to be considered an emcee, otherwise you're a rapper...and dude that said shit about Cassidy is abso-FUCKING-lutely correct, Cassidy's album was cmoplete TRASH, I was mad after I bought it cuz so many people was like "Casssidy is dat shyt" and the only songs that really showed off his lyrical talent were collabs, he the type of muh FUCKah that need omeone else on a track to outshine or he won't push himself any... again though, freestyling IS needed to an "emcee" but not to be a "rapper"... |

on da real, I laugh at kats that be freestylin' better than they write, shit's literally humorous to me...cuz ion understand how you can have a beat playing over and over and sit but not write hott shit, but hear a beat for about 4 bars then come off with some HOTT ass bars..people like that need to just do anentire album of freestyles or use bars from free's in their verses...
