Alright, for the record, i AM white, so excuse my "stupidity" since I'm not up to par on hip-hop culture, considering I'm in a heavy metal band (I came here for the poetry). Alright, I was searching thru threads and I asked myself "Why do these people think they're so cool for doing dumb shit?". Like this one dude was bragging about how he go arrested. What is so cool about being a criminal? Am I not the only one who questions this? Or all these people doing their "drugs". What's so cool about killing yourself with a substance? Yes, I am a retired drug abuser, but if you really think about it, it's gay. Or living in a "ghetto". What's so amazing about being poor your whole life? Is it cool to not be able to afoord things in life? Since when and why? Am I missing something? Being poor doesn't make you "hardcore". It makes you poor and that's it.

Maybe its just your opinion.. I'm white also but I don't really act those questions because its really none of my buisness...its their lifestyle and they live how they want to live it. If they want to live poor.. thats their decesicion, if you want to be a band its your choice..and sometimes people think doing dumb things is cool because it gets "publicity"...

You're the most generalistic piece of shit I've ever seen on RV. Since you're on a rap site why don't you take a minute to learn a fucking thing or two? Seriously, rap isn't about being poor and using drugs. But you wouldn't know that, since it's obvious that the only rap music you're exposed to is on your radio or TRL. So turn off your Chingy and J-Kwon music videos and learn about real rap and hip hop. Or you can continue to be a naive little punk, that'd be ok too, and more fun to watch you get owned :thumbup:

And btw, the point of "screaming down a mic" is expressing anger/ emotion.... its more or less the actual beats of metal songs than the lyrics.... it takes a lot of hard work to make a band like slipknot. all u need 4 rap is a drum machine and the ability to talk really fast.

pretaining to rap or hip-hop. If i'm not mistaken she was refering to
the people on this site not rap music.

i would rather stay where i am, just with less people in my house
and to the poster of this thread...those who speak of only crime only
grew up in crime, they know nothing else...there is nothing
else in their life so they speak of their life in a good light
also, im not vouching for anyone on rv, whities.

Yet the people on this site are rap oriented and make rap music...like me for example. I don't glorify living in poverty, nor am I boasting about doing drugs. So there, hope I cleared it up for you :thumbup:
