13 year old says "I need an abortion", Florida says "Fuck you"
 

Yeah so basically this 13 year old "long-term foster care" kid got knocked up and asked her caseworker to take her to get an abortion. The caseworker agreed and they made arrangements to get it done on a tuesday....

The tuesday morning that it was supposed to be done, for some random ass reason, the state asked a judge to grant a temporary injuntion, which he did, and now she is not allowed to have the abortion until the ACLU kicks some ass and the injunction is lifted...

Their reasoning was somehting about her being a ward of the state and they want tests done to make sure she is mentally competent to make the decision.

which is bullshit...since when have you had to be mentally competent to get an abortion?...crazy people have been getting abortions for years...just another one of the bushes abusing his power to appease the religious fundamentalists...

I feel for the poor girl...cases like this run notoriously slow and she may be forced into being a mother before the case is resolved...just because of some bullshit...
