:nono: ...When you guys vote, who cares about Self Glorifying? I can understand if it's a whole verse, but a bar or 2 should'nt make you vote against someone. I was just checkin polls, and hella people say self glorifying is why they voted against them. That is some bullshit. If you would listen to some battles, there is self-glorifying/disses in there. Take the famous Nas vs Jay-Z battle for example:

In Conclusion, who ever said you can't self glorify yourself while dissing someone. Self-Glorification is just saying that you are better than your oponent, and they can't top your skill. So, please stop voting according to self-glorification.

Werd in a face to face battle self glorifiying is just 1 method to show ur better than the other cat as long as punches r thrown then its bullshit people prosecuted for it

In text you vote on punches. Talking about how good you are isn't a punch. The point of a battle is to diss the other dude. Talking about yourself doesn't do shit. And, I know that bar was wack, I was just giving an example.

Text is more direct you have to keep the person reading and IMO self-glory isn't a way to keep me interested...audio is mainly flow and rhyming/pronouciation so yea you can get away wit it but not too much...but self-G bars are wasted in text battles...it's gotta be creative from a dissin point of view otherwise it wouldn't be a battle would it?

if u text battlin, nobody wants so sit up and read about how u not dissin the other guy... in an audio diss *which also happens to be a fuckin song on a CD* u wont always have every single line to diss him. in Nas's songs where he was like "name a rapper that i aint influence" he was really just sayin that JAy-Z dont influence anybody and pointing out that nas influenced jay-z...
also when he said the thing about guest appearances, he was saying that Jay-z's 1st album had biggie and foxy brown, nas had no famous ppl but still had a better album. its not really self glory- he's just pointing out how he's better.

But if its a hot line, and the writer both disses his opponent, and throws some hot braggin lines in there, he should'n be criticized for it
