it's a deer. I live in NJ which is the "dead-ass-dear-on-the-highway" capital of the world. If it were an elk it'd be way darker brown and have a white patch on it's chest and on the head and about another 60 lbs bigger.

^deer again. Like all the dee here you cna see the ribs pokin out. The belly is straight where as on the elks them shits are more round. Elks are heavier and darker. Deer are light on their underbodies and the insides of their legs are usually real light or straight white.

then again... lookin on yahoo it looks alot like a deer....the i didn't see any elk dat looked like dat!

ok lol this is going to sound hella dorky but if you look at the jaw line its def a deer because the elk jawline is more horse shaped and has larger cheek pockets.. while the deer(in the pic) has a very slender jawline... also with size comparison if it was a baby elk it would have the spots which last well into its first year... thus my conclusion it is def a deer .... and that is werd

It's funy how no one that says "Elk" raises any facts at all to make you see that it'd possibly be an Elk. Aside fomr the 6 pics I posted, I live in a state that's heavy with Deer. That, my friend...is definitely a deer. If you could see em side-by-side, you'd also see that an Elk is far taller than a deer.
