Man, so here I am using my brand new Mac Mini when I relaized that in iTunes 4.9 the convert to MP3 feature works remarkably crapily with Garage Band2. Sounds all crusty and shit, so I have to use iTunes 4.8 or down. Looked all over the net for it and couldn't find 4.8 or down. Fire up my old Mac, pull just the application iTunes 4.7 to a CD and figure "what's the worse that could happen". Didn't think it'd work without the install file or anything liek that. Sure enough man, it fuckin worked!! My mac thought about it for a second then created a god damn install file for it!! you believe that shit?!

I :heart: macs even more now. And that's saying something.

Go to any recording studio with at least a grand of hardware in it and ask thme about their mac, lol. Dont' evne make sense to discuss it but any movie you've seen since 94 that had ANY CG images in it at, like Matrix, Spiderman, even shit liek Shrek and Toy Story etc all was done on macs. There ain't a mainstream album you've heard since the early 90's whne everyone stopped recording analog and went digital that wasn't done on macs. They're jsut the industry standard for computers period. Why you think so much exclusive shit is only on macs or designed for macs and "also works" for PC's? lol. Windows is the shit kids use at home to read emails, lol. They're far from pro set-ups at all.

Mac's just get given to businesses and schools for cheap cause they dont sell much otherwise. Thats prolly why their optimised for being a work station and not a dope ass cool user friendly interface like windows. :thumbup: @ xp

who says you gotta be making matrix? I jsut wanted a system that never crashes, never has any surprises or timebombs and is 101% impossible to get viruses. My fuckin iMac G3 is 8 years old and still runs liek the day I got it. Same with my G4 Tower which is about 6 years old which is making for a whoop-ass server. My new mac mini? sheit - it'll be liek this 10 years from now guaranteed and still the size of 5 CD cases.

BWAHAHAHHAHHA, fuckin hillarious. Schools/offices/businesses are all budget oriented. They know that 4 PC's in 4 years = costs more than 1 mac in 4 years. Pay more for the mac now and pay less for everything later.

As far as being user-friendly, that all prefference (since you're already a slave to windows, of course anytihng else will seem not "user firendly") but just as a heads up, the NEXT gen windows OS is built on Mac's archetecture. Soo...exactly what the hell are you talking about?? smh...

Maybe next gen windows will be based on Mac's.. But theyll be sure to make the interface so much doper and more windows-like. Mac's just cant compete with windows. Its like putting a blind retard in a 100 meter dash with pro athletes.. Windows always comes out on top:shoot:

Macs are generally used by two types of people......graphic oriented trades such as making software and websites and such, or making music :thumbup:™

Not many people use them because they don't really market to anyone else because they would fail miserably to windows/microsoft :thumbup:™

Tiger? hell chea man, came with the mini. At first I didn't see a BIG differnce between Tiger and Panther, but over time oyu do notice big shit. the Dashboard is fuckin priceless and saves me who knows how many hours a week vs. doing things the long way without it. Spotlight is the new sherlock and that shit will find not just files..but like..particular words. like if I typed in "horsepower" into Spotlight, it'll turn up shit liek Word files that had the word "horsepower" typed in, or IM logs, web-page histories, etc. It leaves no stone unturned and it works WAY faster than sherlock did. Even GB2 was improved and the sample rate is higher AND the new effects will kick your balls in. I do rock iChat BTW. I'm on it right now, lol.


But you're gonna love the powerbook. Almost as much as I love my mac mini ;)

You'd have a good point if I didn't start off as a hard-core windows user. I jsut got tired of having my shit get riddled with viruses and miscellaneous problems. Lol, the average user shouldn't HAVE to know dos commands ot navigate in windows, just liek you dont' have to be an electrican to listen ot the radio. Man, you motherfuckers are such cry babies.

We have em in the school library, when i have a lesson there im confused as fuck on em, graphic designers use em though.

What's confusing? The buttons that close the window and minimize the wondow and shit are on the opposite side ,and instead of "shift + insert letter here" you're using the command key (which has the picture of the apple on it). Other than that, they're pretty idencial on the surface for a casual user.
