several months ago, I was summoned for Jury duty but didn't feel like missing work


now...they sent me a notice basically sayin I had better have a damn good reason for not showin up or they're gonna lock my ass up

^^^^^It's a Civil duty...they pic people at random that meet certain criteria to serve on juries...and my name came up

and they pay you somthing like 10 dollers a day as well as your job should pay you regular pay as well.

If they treat it like a court summons at the very least, it's gonna stick because what are you gonna say "yeah, I live here.....but never got a letter stamped Official Legal Notice". That shit never works. but GL. PS, I don't think they'll arrest you, jsut give you contempt of court and a $500 fine
