...Shut Up Please

Seriously, how are people blaming the government for what happened to NO? They had plenty of warning, they knew what might happen, but a lot of people stayed there to loot houses, and now that they are stuck at their house they blame the government? Explain that to me.

This is not Bush's fault, this is a hurricane, are you gonna blame Bush for Florida having hurricanes last year too? Maybe Bush is the reason my money is gone, he sent the FBI to take it. Or maybe he killed that dog I saw on the side of the road since he kills everything else right?

Stop blaming him and put the blame on the people who it deserves to be on, those who stayed back to loot.

Magic5 09-03-05 07:50 PM

That is exactly what I've been saying.

..THE STATE WAS YELLING AT THE PEOPLE TO GET OUT OF THE STATE.

They stayed.. whether it be because they can't afford it or thought it wouldn't get as bad as it is.. THEY STAYED.

IT'S NOT THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT'S FAULT.

However, the aftermath should have been handled different. THAT IS A DIFFERENT STORY. Blaming Bush for the people not getting out BEFORE the hurricane, though.. is fucking retarded.

Capone 09-03-05 07:52 PM

i was thinking that..if sumone said there was a hurricane coming i would evacuate right away...

but there is other stuff that i blame bush on

Key... 09-03-05 07:53 PM

Its not how its because NO people are the victims and the govt is not helping them.

Tremendous 09-03-05 07:54 PM

They blame the government because they have the say on how to handle the situation, all the govenor can do is tell the people to evacuate, the government decides the actions to take

They sent buses into those places for people to get out. Also, how the hell are they spose to get in there? NO is under water, it's hard enough for people to know where houses are, let alone find the people.

Update just in -

People being poor is not Bush's fault.

How about you try getting out and working, not having massive amounts of kids, etc. to make sure you safe financially?! LET'S TRY THAT OUT.

I already said the aftermath should have been handled differently.

Leadership should have come in way earlier. I'll never argue against that.

Ysdat 09-03-05 07:58 PM

lol @ get out. if you in the projects you cant get out anyway.. what makes you think they could just get up and leave caue of a hurricane.

they live with nothing, therefore they leave with nothing. They are trapped in the ghetto so theres no just getting up and leaving.

But Im sure those who could afford to get up and leave did. But the government should of established a pre-evacuation plan. and got people out before it hit.

I still blame the government, bush included. There was and still is alot more they can be doing.

KOOL COL-B 09-03-05 08:01 PM

but tha government shouldve sent a shit load of ppl 2 help like tha very next day if not tha same day it happened. werd

Sean Gunner 09-03-05 08:02 PM

How can there not be food and water in a sports stadium? Go to the bathrooms and use the sinks for God's sake. Tons of booths and ish in that stadium as well, go cook their food or something.

For the poor thing, like Mim said, it isn't Bush's fault people drop outta HS and then have 5 kids with no education. Not government's fault people are drug addicts. NO brought this destruction on themselves, had they decided to band together and help each other, then the after math would have been a whole lot better, but they decided to loot houses and shoot each other.

Now the government has to send in soldiers with M-16's to control this city? Come on man, US is fooked cuz of people with no morals, not cuz of a bad government.

You think the we had a shit load of people READY to send in to the VERY NEXT DAY? We should have had people come in 2-3 days before they did.

Crazy Hades 09-03-05 09:29 PM

Kolby, the fucking pentagon bombing was a terrorist act that destroyed a very important building full of very important people. There isn't anything racist about it, but in a crisis you'd try to find the most important people and get them out. Plus, the war on Iraq hadn't started yet, with NO they'd have to drag out people from the surrounding areas from their duties, leaving soft spots in those places they use to patrol before the accident.

Last Thursday I was in south Florida and sat outside while the eye of Hurricane Katrina passed over my head. It was only a Category 1 then but it was pretty nasty. Eleven people died and, as of today, there were still homes without power. That night the weatherman said this storm was on its way to New Orleans. That was Thursday! Did anybody tell you? I know you didn't want to interrupt your vacation and I know how you don't like to get bad news. Plus, you had fundraisers to go to and mothers of dead soldiers to ignore and smear. You sure showed her!

I especially like how, the day after the hurricane, instead of flying to Louisiana, you flew to San Diego to party with your business peeps. Don't let people criticize you for this -- after all, the hurricane was over and what the heck could you do, put your finger in the dike?

And don't listen to those who, in the coming days, will reveal how you specifically reduced the Army Corps of Engineers' budget for New Orleans this summer for the third year in a row. You just tell them that even if you hadn't cut the money to fix those levees, there weren't going to be any Army engineers to fix them anyway because you had a much more important construction job for them -- BUILDING DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ!

On Day 3, when you finally left your vacation home, I have to say I was moved by how you had your Air Force One pilot descend from the clouds as you flew over New Orleans so you could catch a quick look of the disaster. Hey, I know you couldn't stop and grab a bullhorn and stand on some rubble and act like a commander in chief. Been there done that.

There will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it against you. Just have your people keep pointing that out. Respond to nothing. Even those pesky scientists who predicted this would happen because the water in the Gulf of Mexico is getting hotter and hotter making a storm like this inevitable. Ignore them and all their global warming Chicken Littles. There is nothing unusual about a hurricane that was so wide it would be like having one F-4 tornado that stretched from New York to Cleveland.

^Um...this pretty much sums it up, cause obviously y'all ain't read my post

Uhh.. I don't really see why our country's 2nd Amendment rights should be changed. The United States isn't "fucked" in the first place, but guns isn't the root of our problems either.

Liking a quote by one of the main leaders of the civil rights movement doesn't relate at all to who I support in terms of the President.

Wrong. He took too late to do something. There's like 20,000 people down there now.

But yeah, I agree with you. Bush took too long.

Sean Gunner 09-04-05 01:11 AM

Ya, my friend's dad is going down there, so they are doing something, though more then half should die anyway, but the right thing to do is to help.

Grave Digger 09-04-05 01:15 AM

Wtf, I seriously have no simpothy for the dumb people that stayed in their homes, they couldn't afford to leave? Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't your life more important? And when they start calling for a catogory 5 hurricane, I woulda been fucking out of there, money or no money.

Magic5 09-04-05 01:18 AM

^ Exactly.

It was called a fucking Category 5 way before it hit.

Bush did take a little longer then he should have though.. he should have had shit done in 2-3 days.. not 5-6. But, whatever. They should have left when they fucking could.

Grave Digger 09-04-05 01:20 AM

yeop. exactly..

Sean Gunner 09-04-05 01:24 AM

If I had heard a category 5, I would have ran away. Even without a car I'm gettin the hell outta NO. I mean, in 2-3 days before it hit, you could get a could 100 miles or more from NO.

Magic5 09-04-05 01:33 AM

If you can't afford a car.. get a bike.. if you can't afford a bike.. get some rollerblades.. if you cant afford rollerblades.. start running.

There is no excuse for not getting out before it hit.

But of course, they stayed.. so Bush gets blamed on it and called a racist.

Bullshit.

Grave Digger 09-04-05 01:36 AM

I woulda stole a bike for christs sake, CATAGORY 5 MORONS!, If I saw a little 10 year old peddling, I would threw him off his bike and bolted.

Sean Gunner 09-04-05 01:58 AM

What's the highest category? 10?

Magic5 09-04-05 02:21 AM

http://www.bom.gov.au/weather/qld/cyclone/windstr.shtml

The first parts of data on that site give the impression that Category 5 is the highest.

Grave Digger 09-04-05 03:35 AM

ya, category 5 is the highest, so if I hear about a category 5, kids is getting thrown the fuck off their bike.

yo mime, get on aim homizle

Magic5 09-04-05 03:38 AM

Uhh.. No.

I'm about to go to bed.
