Is Swaying A Legitimate Way To Get A DQ?
 

Here's some backround information to why I want to know what you think..

I made an open callout, Deranged responded, I set up a battle. We both posted verses. First, Status, a guy who has never liked me came in and voted against me. Then, Yvonne, who has voted against me in my last two consecutive battles but doesn't seem to vote on anybody elses, comes in and votes against me. Then, I get a few pms from people saying they're blacklisted, so then I'm like.. this Deranged dude is a complete bitch.

So, I made a "beef" thread.. saying this dude was a bitch. In the thread I said his verse was complete garbage.. then explained why. Then, I said something along the lines of "if you're reading this, please vote.. I would like something honest going in here.."

Then, today I get on and see that I got DQed.. under the basis of "swaying."

Now, my question -

Is that DQ legitimate? The last time I checked the Front Lines rules (which was about 10 minutes ago) it doesn't mention anything about "swaying" or saying the other dude's verse sucked in another forum. And, considering it was in a the Beef Thread forum, what should I have said? Somehow I don't think this would have worked too well, "This dude is a bitch.. but props on that tight ass verse you posted." Fuck no. I thought the verse sucked, so I said it.

I alread pmed strobe, but has anybody else on here been DQed from a battle in Front Lines (not a league or shit like that) on the basis of swaying? Regardless of whether or not you have.. is that a legitimate way to get a win/DQ? Because, the way I see it.. I didn't break any rules in either forum. In Front Lines it doesn't say I can't say the other dude's verse was gay. In Beef Threads.. I "beefed."

I think it's complete bullshit.

All I read was the title, and that's all I needed to formulate my answer. No, it's not a legitimate way to be DQ'd, just as long as whoever votes knows what a good drop is. Swaying is just a defensive term herbs use when their competitor makes it public to other people about how badly they got their ass handed to them.

First off, swaying in anyway is not good enough basis for a DQ unless stated so in the rules thread. Next, you never actually specified that people should vote for you because you were getting screwed so there is no way you should have been DQ'ed. The simple fact is you stated your opinion on his verse and asked honest people to vote. Whether or not those honest people voted for you or not is a different matter. But from what you've said you shouldn't have been DQ'ed at all.

Yeah, hopefully strobe won't say it's like, an "unwritten" rule or some shit.. as if Deranged is pulling wins off of techincalities regarding what I should or shouldn't post in the Beef Thread.. then I'll be damned if I can't play the technical game back.. cause it doesn't say anywhere that I should be DQed for that.

Like, what? I'm supposed to assume that when my battle is up I can't "beef" about it in the Beef Thread forum.. but as soon as it closes I can say, "oh yeah, he fucking sucks." I don't get it.

If someone comes along and says hey this guy was swaying with a link to a thread about the battle, hes obviously not gonna go further into it and investigate your circumstances. Hes just gonna give the whiner the win. Can you seriously imagine strobe replying with like "I see your point. But seeing as I have so much time, i'd like to really study your reputations on the site, the verses, and the votes to see how deep this case really goes." Of course not. strobe would sooner post pics of himself.

Line differnce is less scarce from what memisis did.He swayed for votes extremely..and asked for votes in one thread.That will inevitably change the tides in battles.I'm afraid he'd win?

1-Look at the battle thread.Soon as 2 votes came in...memisis was the first to bitch about it.
2-I made a line rippin on his user title..he went and changed it.
3-AND...the polls were 2-0..memesis still had it 0-0 in his sig.
4-Then..of cource..he swayed.

Actually that has happened in many of my battles, kid..... and I got none of them DQ'd.... Me and L.I. battled R-Rated and kinmh Solp. They made post in LL... vote on this battle, and after you voted we'll both pay you 1 mil RV cash or somethin' like that. First.. I wouldn't have DQed for "swaying" as I know the rules, and "swaying" isn't included in any of them.

And I really don't think "reputation" on an internet forum board plays that much of a factor.
