Danielle Steele

Anybody ever read any of her books?

I just finished reading 'The Long Road Home'.. and damn yo, that book was awesome. Right now I'm getting ready to read 'The Gift.'

I don't know.. I just like something about her writing.

She writes about fictional people and events, but the concept of her books aren't so far fetched to where you don't believe anything she says. She writes very well, and she is one of the few regular fictional authors that I have gotten in to.

If you're into that kind of reading, then you should check some of her books out. They're not the type of books to where your beliefs will change, or be put into question, after you read it, or anything like that, but if you are in the mood just a regular fictional book about people and their situations then you should definately check it out.

She is ill.

Magic5 09-17-05 02:29 AM

I don't know. The Long Road Home had some romance in it.. I guess you could call it, but it wasn't detailed around it.

Uhh.. No.

What makes you say that?

Pick up one of her books.. it's not about what sex you are.

If you try reading one of them you'll see what I'm talking about.

..unless you are like Nostradamus, and just don't like fiction books.. then don't read, but if you do, then her books are dope.

Uhh.. considering you guys have never read one it's going to be completely pointless arguing with you. Think what you want, it really doesn't bother me.. but the one book that I have completed that was written by her, wasn't centered around romance. It seemed like a situation that could be realistic, and it interested me.

You guys really don't know what you're talking about.. considering you haven't read a book from her.

It's not for women.

sure  .............................................

Magic5 09-17-05 09:07 PM

Ok?

The book I read was written extremely well, and there was really nothing in it that told me it was for women. There wasn't that much romance. Hell, the first half-3/4 didn't have ANY romance in it.. but given the storyline, it's kind of like it would be unrealistic unless you tossed the small amount of romance that was in the book in..

Think what you want, though. I'm just saying that if you like fictional books about situations that some people have probably lived, then check one of her books out. Well, I can only speak for the one book I read, so I'll have to get back with you guys about how this other book I checked out is.. whatever.

I don't know anything about her other books, so I can't really say anything about them.

Dervla 09-17-05 09:34 PM

I've read that book and many others..The first chapter of that book got me crying..no seriously it was sad...But I wasn't too happy when she slept with the priest (I think). I was sad when the Priest killed himself because he wasn't tough..Really thats what the book is about...she was tough and the ones she Thought she loved was weak and they died..Really a good book but it's not her recent though.

WICKEDCLOVVN 09-17-05 11:20 PM
