Has anyone every thought about writing a book????

I'm attempting to write a book at the minute. A modernist, semi-biographical thing. I dont really know what the meaning is in it yet tho, I'm just writing and seeing where it will take me.

Ive written a couple Screenplays, while I was in film school an then a few since I been out.

i've started writing too

i've heard that it's seriously hard to get a book published.
and even if you do get it published, if your book is regarded as crap by the public then you'll find it even more difficult the next time round, as the publishers don't want to risk wasting time with someone who isn't gonna make them big money.

if you do write a book you should go over it again and again and again.
if you're part of a book group then get them to read your work and give you feedback, so you can edit your work as necessary. and it wouldn't hurt to pay a professional reader to look over it for you as well.

Nope. I like writing.. never really attempted the whole "story line" thing, though.

I am in the middle of writing a novel, not a book....books are crappy little 100 page pieces of ass. Novels are dope...500-600 pages of pure quality reading. :thumbup:

When I am published I will send you all copies. :D

Yes, he offered me programs, he asked me questions about my manuscript, the genre of the book, the lay-out, the cover, in color or black/white and other details. Right now we're talking about time limit and possible discount...

My manuscript isn't finished yet, I still have some concepts for poems and short stories to work out so he asked how much time I'd need to finish it. I also said I was still trying to figure the financial side of it all out and he said he might take care of discount but he hasn't gotten back at me with details yet.

Programs, you have basic ones without marketing but you also have more extended programs with more marketing for your book such as press releases, banners on sites, deliveries to libraries and such...
