Don't come in here being a instigator looking for beef. I just want to know what everyone's feel about it. If you haven't been then please stfu in advance to avoid looking like you thought you knew something.

But yeah, I've always wondered how it'd be if the site was still one site, and they are now in two different stages, I know how people feel about RV there, how do ya'll feel here?

RB is cool, but if you're kinda considered an outcast if you dont kiss Mod's ass and be apart of it's pop culture.

I just dont like the style that is considered good over there... And the people seem a bit stuck up.

I used to be there alot, but u only get like a max of 5-10 posts a day if u try hard, and when ur trynna be able to do shit that sucks

the style that seems "cool" over there is the style thats used on every single rapsite that has talent.
thats not just their specific style, its the the style thats good right now everywhere.

battles don't get peeped unless you got like 15 d/r homies over there. I didn't know no one over there, and my battles were open for like a month. There's talent over there no doubt (in audio) but cats heads are MAD stuck up there own asses. I dunno... I just found more crunstructive critisism over here, although thats of times past, and now both sites suck. :( There its still the same, and here its all about net ego's and e-beef. fricken gay. word.

It's alright i guess some decent audio heads but its not my style to many net nerd text heads thinkin they own everyone cause they text rap...some peeps coo but for tha most i aint go there anymore....

there are decent Text heads over there, but they get hated on by the people who are really known..and when they battle the newer text heads they win b/c they get dick ridden..

and the mods over there (no names) on RB are mad strcit and power hungry...but some mods are cool..illlunatic, Celestial..

and the newbs are all over the place over there..i mean there are enough older heads over there, but newbs pretty much run that site..

and most of the poeple back in like late 04 and before were cool, now they are dicks..and if they aren't dicks they aren't there..

I never said I liked RV's style either. Most of the vets on here dont impress me at all.

some audio heads on the net have a good style... With text, I dont like what is considered "talent" on the internet. The "cool" style on most rap sites is just plain wack to me. I dont dig how rap is evolving on the net... theres a few ill textcees, ever. The rest are just plain wack... even a lot of RB and RM text vets seem wack to me.

Im not saying these guys are bad at what they do, it just doesnt appeal to me.

Get a verse from someone you think is dope and ill tell you if I think its shit.

Basically its mods that ruin it. I got banned for reasons I don't even know. I was gone one day and came back and found out I was banned. And the DR is extremly strong. I'm not even playin follow the leader, it is REALLY horrible. Plus all the actuall good heads there are gone. The ones staying now are idiots who need help in every area. I saw some of the OM's in the Hall of fame and I was impressed. Other then that I like RV better.

They don't seem to take too kindly to newbs over there.

Over here, I always felt people were more willing to help more new members out and show em around. Even now I still feel that RV can help me more than RB. I can't comment on talent really because I haven't checked every aspect of RB as thoroughly as I do it on RV but the general impression I get: it's as if RB is a sort of closed community which is difficult to get into.

I think RB is dope cuz pair-a-dyce is from there. :love: lool j/p

but yea, shit's kinda like mod ass kissin' shit. And too strict and shit. They def got talent, but RV more chill environment. And since I just do audio and don't battle much, just some times, I just come on to fuck around when i'm bored.

What do I think of RB?

Honestly.. I never liked it.
There is an occaisional person over there who I respect as an artist.. But I wouldnt post there simply because those people are few and far between and the whole site is full of tossers who have WAY too large ego's for their skill levels.. The majority of that site is just a big joke full of ass kissers who try so hard to be funny and gain the respect of some knob jocky mods and admins who in turn, admit themselves to banning 20+ people a day and generally (from what I've seen) do a fucking horrible job of modding their site.

And can I just put the myth to rest right now... Most of RB wouldnt know skill if it knocked them on the fucking head.. Over there EVERYTHING is about dickriding and trying to be funny to gain respect from geeks that are just as fucking stupid as they are. And yes that is the same on a vast majority of internet battling forums these days.. That is why I stick to RV where its all chill and laid back..

I dont really net battle anymore... Just mod this shit...

the atmosphere there is completely different.. here its way more laidback, and relaing. yea it aint as active as there since they got like 50 more ppl online than here everyday.. but yeah.. iono i tried that place out n it was just completely boring since everyones all stuck up there..

They're too stuck up and think they're god...they act like dicks all the time like being a vet on rb is the dopest thing ever, it seems like they have no lives. And ive noticed you have to d/r a mod or a "cool" popular person in order to get somewhere.

Same shit cats think they're cool and diss you if they don't know you. Mods are pricks and will ban you in a minute for speaking your mind. Talent wise I would say it's better, but as many herbs over there as here believe me.

I got banned for starting a crew... cuz I wasn't an "Elite" Member (In Late '03)... which is gay... cuz there was only like 5 crews, and those were all "Elite" crews... they were trying to shut everyone out who wasn't in the mod circle jerk.

Back in '03 when I started on there cats where cool, when Crit was still elevating and shit, and I got into a tight ass crew, and when we beat one of the super mod's crews, he banned our leader & co-leader and deleted the forum... so if you're not having sex with a mod or super mod... your gone.

the newbs overthere suck ass and the vets are snobs and won't help them elevate.......... RB do got some dope heads tho.......... like the fresh prince........ wasn't really feelin anyone else..............

Word, well if you dont know me, I been there for a hot minute as you can see from my join date and sig.

I mod The Lounge, and I'd agree with ya'll that there is a bunch of follow the leader stuff. I dont know anything about text so I can't talk on that, but from what I've heard we have a bunch of people who have a cult of followers.

I think our lack of variety in our audio will be the death of it. Over here, you guys battle and shit regularly.... I respect that. Over there, unless it's two people who are well known, it goes unnoticed. And Songs are treated like a step-child. If I go into songs, I have an idea already of who will be stickied, and whose threads will have numerous replies. The only time others get responces is when they leave their link in someone elses.

While I agree with what the other "mods & admins" have said that "If they want their song stickied they should drop dope". I have to disagree with how it's working out. Obviously if (Insert Notable Netcee) posts a track, people will flock and reply, it doesn't need to be stickied, but is (Decent Head) drops a track that's worth criticism, he wont get it stickied because it's not dope "enough" but you can't get better without proper feedback.

It's frustrating not being able to have a say in decisions, but being expected to follow whatever as well. I've noticed that everytime someone is admined, they are active for a few then they tend to fade out, I dunno why but just happens. and suggestions are usually waved off, instead of reworked and developed.

This site, it's more accepting of new people, yet it lacks anything reputable. It's well organized but it lacks content. It's like everyone is still taking baby steps. But at the same time, everyone is more conscious of the site as a whole, like they are more site-wide activities. Shit ya'll been around a year and dropped an RV Mixtape, we've been around for a while and STILL haven't for w/e reasons. I was glad to be a part of it, cause hey that's exposure for me, and it wasn't like you have to have a certain level of net-respect to get on. Niggas just put you on cause you had your shine.

Yeah and from the begginning this site was like that, and I think it's because most the ppl here started here, elevated here, and know how it is to be new to the site, so they're more accepting.

And then again... I never thought RB cats were ever too impressive... cuz on my own time, I write stuff far better than what's on there... but I'm not going to judge further nor beef about it. I'm just saying that neither site is all that great... the only reason I stay here is cuz It's so laid back and chill.

I'll tell you why the fading out shit happens though, its because the geeks that spend so long (years even) desperatly trying to gain enough respect untill they finally do get chosen for an admin spot on that website.. Reaching what some would say the epitomy of their forum (which is what a lot of nerdy faggots aspire to on RB), begin to see through the bullshit and get bored of the site realising theyve spent so long wanting the respect admins get, to getting it and then understanding that its only extra work and definatly not as cool as they thought..

I went through a small admin stage back around 2002.. Afterwhich I took a break for 2 years cause I lost interest in battling sites. Now a days I just mod RV and I could care less about being known on the internet battling scene..

Its annoying to me when net fags talk to me as if I fit the steriotype of your average netcee though.. But theres not much you can do about that, kids think in terms of what they understand.. I'm not a netcee, therefore they dont understand me. This is another reason I jus chill on RV where I know most of the people and dont have to witness pathetic loser geek's on ego trips as often as you do on other sites..
