In about 30 years when im about 48 and we are all grown up, our oldies music station for rap/ hip-hop is gonna b tight as shit lol....our kids gonna be like yall listened to that back in the day and we be boppin our heads to some DMX and they be like what the fuck....the oldies music station right now is kinda wack.....but when our current music is put on them oldies stations that shit gon' be bangin....lol

stuff that's out since 50Cent first came out up to now will be crap then, like it is now...90s rap is still the best rap there is, but that's just MY opinion...
Mad Dog, pop wll never die because "pop" is whatever is popular, it's just a shortened word...at the World Music Awards, the "top selling pop artist" this past year was 50Cent, a rapper...(how weird is it that the top selling rapper was Eminem and he's white)...so you really can't say "hopefully pop will die by then" cuz pop can be anything... I've often wondered what music will be like when I'm older, if I'll be how my mom is...she HATES rap, I wonder if I'll hate what the generation after me enjoys, I'd like to hope not, that'd I'd continue to be ecclectic and appreciate new genres and such, but shit, right NOW I don't like rap music or the direction it's taking...I hope the next generation appreciates 90s rap and is sick of hearing the B.S. now and goes back to meaningful tracks, but hey...we'll see what happens... |
