I got my first copy in today...and I scanned the cover for ya'll.

Whats it about?

A division under Random House is publishing it...

The synopsis directly from the back of the book:

As time passes by, wars come, and wars go. Heroes are created from wars, and legends are created from heroes.
There once were two kingdoms that rivaled each other so much, it drove them to war. The Tristren kingdom was a far more advanced nation than the Zemotz, and the Zemotz envied their power. The Tristren created a great force of magic that they called the ‘Gemini’, and all seemed to be going their way in this war.
But the Zemotz were able to steal it.
Hinro Gasket, a young fourteen year old boy who was born into a commoner family, lives his life day by day, knowing that he will become a soldier, like his father before him. But in a single night, his village is destroyed and his parents are murdered.
Hinro wants revenge.
With the help of an old mage, Hinro learns that he is destined to destroy the Zemotz, and the great force of magic that was once called the Gemini. But, dark dreams, horrifying flashbacks, and the ability of a long-lost magic send his mind into chaos.

From the back of the book, the way it was written, I have no idea how you got it published. It looks like crappy writing. But if it was written for younger kids, I guess it might be good. Wt/v, good luck I guess.

Anybody in existence could get a book published if they're "good", but what's almost as important as the quality of the book is the marketing value. Though I'm sure LE's book is good, a portion of why it's being published is because the sci-fi/fantasy stuff is hot now. But word, congrats on the book, I'll probably have a gander if I come across it.

almost anybody can write, so almost anybody can get published.

i mean my 9 year old brother can write, but he can only write on his own age level so if he wrote a book, it would be for others on his age level

obviously, if you're gonna write for the tennage level you gotter be really good, especially with fantasy stories as they are generally very descriptive and incredibly long. but like 9th said, the benefit with the fantasy or sci-fi genre is that they are a hot commodity, reason being is because they take you out of the regular world to a place where anything can happen, thus they are almost always entertaining and interesting to read.

i will get published one day :D when i can be bothered to sit down long enough to work on something, instead of just flipping all around to new ideas and shit
